Abstract: Disclosed are a D2D resource allocation method, and data transmission method and device, the D2D resource allocation method comprising: determining a D2D resource configuration corresponding to the quality of service (QoS) level of a D2D service; and transmitting to a user equipment (UE) the information of the D2D resource configuration corresponding to the service quality level of the D2D service. The D2D data transmission method comprises: according to the received information of the D2D resource configuration corresponding to the service quality level of the D2D service, selecting a transmission resource for the D2D service to be transmitted; and transmitting the data of the D2D service over the selected transmission resource. The D2D service transmission requirement is considered in allocating and selecting D2D resources, thus further improving the system D2D resource allocation efficiency without affecting the D2D service transmission requirement.

Abstract: A method of obtaining information on navigation behavior of users accessing web pages, includes obtaining information on web page sessions and correlating the information of at least two web page sessions for one user based on the obtained information on web page sessions. The method further includes extracting information on links from the correlated information of the at least two web page sessions, and inferring information on navigation behavior of the user based on the extracted information on links and the correlated information of the at least two web page sessions for one user.

Abstract: A technique for providing information derived from data traffic between a telecommunications network and the Internet is disclosed. The telecommunications network provides mobile Internet access to a plurality of mobile subscribers using IP addresses allocated to the mobile subscribers. Data packets in data traffic are analyzed at an interface between the telecommunications network and the Internet. Each analyzed data packet includes an IP address allocated to one of the plurality of mobile sub-scribers. For each of the analyzed data packets, a subscriber identity is retrieved based on the IP address included therein using an allocation function of the telecommunications network. The allocation function associates sub-scriber identities to IP addresses. Information derived from the analyzed data packets is stored in combination with the retrieved subscriber identities in a storing unit. An access interface for accessing the stored information is also provided.

Abstract: Methods for managing a media stream from a media server are disclosed. The communication device transmits, to the media server, a request for the first set of media rates and the at least one segment time period. The communication device receives a response indicating the first set of media rates and the at least one segment time period. Moreover, the communication device transmits, to the base station, a request for a second set of media rates, wherein the request comprises information about the first set, a parameter relating to length of the at least one segment time period, and an indication relating to a time period during which the second set of media rates is below a media stream rate for reception at the communication device. Furthermore, the communication device receives a response indicating the second set, and selects a media rate out of the second set.

Abstract: A method for operating a server farm with a plurality of servers operably connected with each other includes: receiving a job request of a computational task to be handled by the server farm; determining, from the plurality of servers, one or more servers operable to accept the job request; determining a respective effective energy efficiency value associated with at least the one or more servers; and assigning the computational task to a server with the highest effective energy efficiency value. The effective energy efficiency value is defined by a service rate of the respective server divided by a difference between an energy consumption rate value when the respective server is busy and an energy consumption rate value when the respective server is idle. The present invention also relates to a server farm operated by the method.

Abstract: A method for operating a server farm with a plurality of servers operably connected with each other includes: receiving a job request of a computational task to be handled by the server farm; determining, from the plurality of servers, one or more servers operable to accept the job request; determining a respective effective energy efficiency value associated with at least the one or more servers; and assigning the computational task to a server with the highest effective energy efficiency value. Abstract: The present invention provides a method and device for transmission on unlicensed spectrum in a UE and a base station. In view of the problem of DFS constraints and PHICH resource waste that is caused by communication of an uplink synchronous HARQ on unlicensed spectrum, in the present invention, logical information is configured so that PUSCHs transmitted through different sub-frames on different physical carriers form one logical carrier, and PHICH resources are reserved for the logical carrier. As an embodiment, downlink signaling is sent in a sub-frame for sending a PHICH so as to indicate transmission bandwidth for data retransmission. The solution provided in the present invention saves PHICH resources and eliminates the constraints on the DFS by the synchronous HARQ. Besides, the present invention reuses the CA scheme in the existing LTE as much as possible, and has high compatibility.

Abstract: A method and a scoring node for estimating a user's Quality of Experience, QoE, when a service is delivered in a media stream to the user by means of a communication network. Quality-related parameters pertaining to the service delivery are extracted, and an individual opinion score is determined for each of a set of quality models by applying each respective quality model in the set on the quality-related parameters. An aggregated opinion score is then determined as a weighted average of the individual opinion scores. The aggregated opinion score can then be used as an estimation of the user's QoE for the service delivery, e.g. when evaluating the service and/or the communication network.

Abstract: Access control node (200), access device (202A), tethering device (204), and methods therein, for enabling wireless access to a communications network (208). One or more access devices (202) having a wireless connection to the network (208) provide (2:1) relay properties to an access control node (200). When detecting (2:2) that network access is wanted for the tethering device (204), the access control node (200) selects (2:3) an access device (202A) based on the obtained relay properties, to be used for sharing wireless connection with the tethering device (204). The access control node (200) then instructs (2:4) the selected access device (202A) to be available as a relay to the communications network (208) for the tethering device (204) via a wireless link between the access device (202A) and the tethering device (204). The tethering device (204) can then access (2:8) the communications network over the wireless link.

Abstract: A method in a network node for improving transmission control protocol, TCP, performance in a cellular network is provided. The network node handles TCP packet transferral between a user equipment and a server in the cellular network. The user equipment and the server are configured to adapt a retransmission timeout setting based on round trip times for performed TCP packet transferrals. When the network node obtains an indication of a handover outage being upcoming for the user equipment, the network node deliberately delays, in a time period preceding the indicated handover outage, a transferal of a TCP packet between the server and the user equipment to increase the round trip time for the TCP packet.

Abstract: A Network Node, a Radio Access node and methods therein for handling and supporting Hand Over, HO, in a wireless communication network are disclosed. The method in a Radio Access node comprises receiving, from a Network Node, a VoIP session notification identifying a traffic flow associated with VoIP related to a UE. The method further comprises receiving, from the Network Node, a VoIP state report for the identified traffic flow, said VoIP state report comprising a determined VoIP state, and a prediction related to a time to a VoIP state change. Further, the method comprises, when the UE is a candidate for HO: deciding whether to delay or to trigger the HO based on the VoIP state and the prediction.

Abstract: In one aspect of the teachings herein, an Application Function (AF) in a wireless communication network is configured to support online charging for the consumption of content that has been pre-fetched to a wireless device via the network. The AF functionality thus provides a mechanism by which content may be pre-fetched to a wireless device in advance of charging for that content, while reliably conditioning the later consumption of that content at the wireless device on the online charging decisions made by an online charging system. In another aspect, a wireless device is configured to send a consumption request for pre-fetched content towards such an AF and condition its consumption of the pre-fetched content on the consumption response returned to it.

Abstract: A method for operating a server farm with a plurality of servers operably connected with each other includes the steps of: sorting the plurality of servers according to a respective energy efficiency value associated with each of the plurality of servers; defining a virtual server by selectively joining two or more of the servers with the highest energy efficiency values; receiving a job request of a computational task to be handled by the server farm; and assigning the computational task to one of the plurality of servers for processing based on a job assignment policy, the job assignment policy being arranged to give preference to assigning the computational task to the servers of the virtual server for processing so as to maximize an energy efficiency of the server farm.

The wireless network provides wireless communication for the communication devices. The method comprises identifying one or more of the communication devices as providing tethering for one or more tethered devices, determining a respective scheduling weight for the communication device providing tethering and for its one or more tethered devices, and scheduling the communication devices based on the determination.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and devices for supporting a transfer process of data in wireless communication networks. The transfer process comprises a decision step to relay data based on a comparison between a first data device's requirements on delivery time and a second device's estimate on the next time for obtaining network connectivity. In addition the transfer procedure considers the reliability required for a particular data piece and the probability of successful delivery provided by the relaying device.

Abstract: Disclosed are a data transmission method and device, used to solve the problem of achieving air interface group calling and multicasting when a base station is connected to a network side via an IP interface; the data transmission method of the present invention comprises: the base station determines a group air interface identifier corresponding to an IP broadcast address or an IP multicast target address; the base station assigns the air interface identifier to a user equipment in the group; and the base station schedules and transmits the air interface data via the air interface identifier.

Abstract: Methods and devices for maintaining a device-operated function. A first device initially operates as an active master with responsibility to execute the device-operated function by automatically performing one or more operation tasks according to certain operational parameters and gaining knowledge when performing the operation tasks. Meanwhile, a second device is acting as a passive standby device. When the first device cannot or should not operate as the active master anymore, e.g. due to low battery, the responsibility is transferred to the second device by transferring the operational parameters and the knowledge from the first device to the second device. Then, the second device operates as the active master with responsibility to execute the device-operated function according to the operational parameters and using the knowledge if required.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and equipments for feeding back MDT Log. Terminal equipment rationally chooses whether to send Log available message to the network based on the fact whether present attribution zone(s) of terminal equipment is the valid attribution zone(s), or report the information of present attribution zone(s) to network side, then the network side judges whether to acquire MDT Log, so as to avoid feeding back MDT Log and further causing loss of valid MDT Log in case of no correspondence of present attribution zone(s). Moreover, terminal equipment can decide whether to report Log available message to the network side according to the condition of actual attribution zone(s), which avoids unnecessary reporting of MDT Log and validly saves radio resource of the system.
