    Abstract: A method for detecting a malfunction in a cell of a telecommunication network is disclosed. The cell is adapted to serve a plurality of user devices identified by user identities and to handle signaling and/or data traffic between the network and the user devices. A lack of traffic is detected in the cell. Further, at least one user identity which identifies a user device is selected. The selected user device is served by the cell. Then a paging message is sent to the user device which is identified by the at least one selected user identity. Finally the malfunction of the cell is validated in case no response message is sent by the user device to said paging message.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method and device for transmission on unlicensed spectrum in a UE and a base station. In view of the problem of DFS constraints and PHICH resource waste that is caused by communication of an uplink synchronous HARQ on unlicensed spectrum, in the present invention, logical information is configured so that PUSCHs transmitted through different sub-frames on different physical carriers form one logical carrier, and PHICH resources are reserved for the logical carrier. As an embodiment, downlink signaling is sent in a sub-frame for sending a MUCH so as to indicate transmission bandwidth for data retransmission. The solution provided in the present invention saves PHICH resources and eliminates the constraints on the DFS by the synchronous HARQ. Besides, the present invention reuses the CA scheme in the existing LTE as much as possible, and has high compatibility.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a data transmission method and device for device to device (D2D) communication, the method comprising: determining D2D communication destinations corresponding to a user equipment (UE) of a transmitting end; allocating a corresponding resource for each D2D communication destination; according to the resource corresponding to each D2D communication destination, generating a medium access control protocol data unit (MAC PDU) corresponding to the D2D communication destinations, and transmitting the MAC PDUs using the resource corresponding to the D2D communication destinations. The present invention separately generates a MAC PDU for each D2D communication destination of a UE of a transmitting end, thus preventing the data from one device to different D2D communication destination devices from being multiplexed into one MAC PDU, further reducing header overhead of the MAC PDU and eliminating unnecessary blind detection of a device of a receiving end, thereby saving power.

    Abstract: A subscription adaptation engine computes a network utilization metric for a plurality of resource bins, each resource bin representing the network utilization at a network location within a time slot. A subscriber utilization metric is computed for activities by a subscriber within the resource bins and a subscriber predictability metric is computed for the subscriber based on the subscriber utilization metric and network utilization metric. Subscriber profiling is performed for the subscriber based on the subscriber utilization metrics and subscriber predictability metric and a subscription profile for the subscriber is adapted, thereby enabling service charging based on the adapted subscription profile. The amount of real-time or near real-time signaling needed to show a different price for each location and/or time of a user may thereby be reduced.

    Abstract: In a system for conveying web content to a plurality of user terminals, web traffic events are correlated to a web page session. A method of operating the system includes inspecting web traffic involved in conveying the web content toward the user terminals for extracting web traffic events, associating the extracted web traffic events to one of said user terminals and to one of a plurality of event types, and building a statistic for values indicating times between two consecutive web traffic events that are associated to the same user terminal. The method further includes calculating from the statistic a deviation for a pair of event types, and correlating the web traffic events to a web page session based on the deviation.

    Abstract: A technique for providing information derived from data traffic between a telecommunications network and the Internet is disclosed. The telecommunications network provides mobile Internet access to a plurality of mobile subscribers using IP addresses allocated to the mobile subscribers. Data packets in data traffic are analyzed at an interface between the telecommunications network and the Internet. Each analyzed data packet includes an IP address allocated to one of the plurality of mobile sub-scribers. For each of the analyzed data packets, a subscriber identity is retrieved based on the IP address included therein using an allocation function of the telecommunications network. The allocation function associates sub-scriber identities to IP addresses. Information derived from the analyzed data packets is stored in combination with the retrieved subscriber identities in a storing unit. An access interface for accessing the stored information is also provided.
