  • Publication number: 20190022458
Abstract: An exercise device featuring a pair of knee joints, each pivotally coupled to a pair of “calf” linkages having foot pedals at their opposite lower end that support low impact user-defined natural exercise gait patterns. The knee pivots joints are supported and directed to travel by linkage and/or carriage systems that operate substantially below the user hip area, and direct the knee pivot joints in a variety of travel paths, ranging from having a constant arc, linear pathway, to having a variety of irregular arc shaped paths, as well as, pathways that may change during use. A secondary system coupled to the knee pivot support system, provides lift and dampening forces to influence the responsiveness of the foot pedals via the bending and straightening of the calf linkage about the knee pivot joint, yet do not restrict the back and forth travel of the knee joint.

  • Patent number: 10115086
Abstract: Systems and methods which facilitate money transfer transactions to a receiving account are provided. Embodiments may provide for interaction between a money transfer service and one or more receiving account entities. Such interaction may be configured to cooperatively utilize transaction details in order to correctly route transferred funds to a receiving account. Embodiments may utilize this cooperation to prevent sensitive information from being widely distributed by parties which participate in a money transfer transaction.

  • Publication number: 20180276717
Abstract: Described are systems, media, methods, and platforms that provide an application for generating content-limited, interactive previews for electronic media. The application includes an interface allowing a content provider to upload a full electronic media and select one or more contiguous subsets of the media, a module configured to process the electronic media to restrict consumer access to the one or more contiguous subsets of the full electronic media, an interface allowing the content provider to input promotional content, a module configured to integrate the promotional content into the one or more contiguous subsets of the full electronic media to form the content-limited, interactive preview for the electronic media, and a module configured to send an invitation to the consumer to view the preview. The previews operate in a sharing economy wherein a consumer gains access to a preview by sharing an invitation with at least one other consumer.

  • Patent number: 10064133
Abstract: A radio communication system comprises a radio transmitter (2), and a radio receiver (12) configured to receive radio transmissions from the transmitter. The transmitter (2) uses a transmitter clock signal to transmit a succession of connection-event data packets (22a?, 22b?, 22c?) according to a predetermined schedule. The receiver (12) enters a sleep state between receiving successive connection-event data packets from the transmitter (2), in which it does not receive and process radio transmissions from the transmitter. It uses a receiver clock signal to determine when a predetermined number of receiver clock cycles has elapsed after receiving one of the connection-event data packets (22b?), and then enters a ready state. The predetermined number of receiver clock cycles is the number of receiver clock cycles (34a) that elapsed between the respective receipts of two of the connection-event data packets (22a?, 22b?) received by the receiver (12) minus a correction factor (38).

  • Publication number: 20180060195
Abstract: Representative embodiments disclose a consistent, low latency, reliable storage system that uses quorum logic. An odd number of storage nodes are selected to store data for a client application. The odd number allows a quorum to be determined. When data is written to the storage nodes, success is identified if the data is successfully written to a majority of the storage nodes. Similarly, when a read is performed, success is identified if the majority of the storage nodes return the same value written in the same write operation. This is determined by matching a value and a version number for each node. Additional data is written to the storage nodes along with the values to allow the system to identify and repair inconsistencies in the data. In some embodiments, both the current data and prior data are stored to aid in repairing inconsistent data.

  • Publication number: 20180007877
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an improved fishing rod guide. In one embodiment the improved fishing rod includes superhydrophobic metal guides. The superhydrophobic metal guides make it possible for fishing line, including, for example, fly fishing line and conventional fishing line, to move through the guides with less weight and drag due to water and ice accumulation, allowing for significantly greater distance and ease in casting. Additionally, the decrease in friction between the fishing line and line guides help extend the life of the fishing line.

  • Publication number: 20180001944
Abstract: A spoiler mechanism (13) for a vehicle (10) includes a spoiler (16) that has a stowed position and first and second deployed positions. An actuator (22) is configured to move the spoiler (16) though the stowed and first and second deployed positions in response to a command. A multi-link assembly (20) is interconnected by pivot points. The multi-link assembly (20) is operatively connected to the spoiler (16). In the first deployed position at least three pivot points are aligned with one another in a plane and provide a first geometrically locked position. In the second deployed position a second geometrically locked position is provided in which a link of the multi-link assembly (20) abuts another structure.
