  • Publication number: 20090212806
Abstract: A system for making electrical contact between a transmit/receive module and a testing device for the transmission of high-frequency signals includes a mechanically guided, frame-shaped contacting unit having a plurality of contact elements for contacting the TR module. The contacting unit surrounds the T/R module and is positioned relative to the T/R module such that the contact with the T/R module is established in one operation via the contact elements. A line substrate, which is arranged on the contacting unit and electrically connected with it, is constructed as a shielded triplate line by which the high-frequency signals can be conducted to the testing device.

  • Patent number: 7150711
Abstract: Method for controlling an assist pump for fluid delivery systems with pulsatile pressure. If for example a heart assist pump is driven with a constant number of revolutions, it is achieved, that the blood is also delivered through the assist pump, even when the heart chamber is in the decontraction phase. With the present method it is achieved, that an assist pump only acts supportingly in the pressure phase of the main pump, in such a way, that the pressure difference between the input side and the output side of the assist pump is continuously determined and the number of revolutions of the assist pump is controlled in such a way, that the determined pressure difference does not fall below a predetermined value and the rate of flow does not sink below zero.

  • Patent number: 6742999
Abstract: A delivery device for a single- or multiphase fluid having a tubular body for axially guiding the fluid, including a motor stator arranged outside the tubular body and a delivery element arranged within the tubular body, comprising a motor rotor. A rotor gap is formed between the delivery element and the hollow body for allowing the fluid to pass through. Mounting arrangements are fixedly disposed in axial direction on each side of the delivery element within the tubular body. Hub gaps are formed between the delivery element and the mounting arrangement. First permanent magnet bearing elements are disposed in the mounting arrangement and second permanent magnet bearing elements are disposed in the delivery element. The first and the second permanent magnet bearing elements functionally work together and are magnetized in axial direction and have opposite polarity. Position sensors associated with each of the first permanent magnet bearing elements and a stabilizer is disposed around the hollow body.

  • Patent number: 6719791
Abstract: The invention provides a device for the axial delivery of fluidal mediums, which outer diameter is not or only insignificantly larger than the diameter of the fluid carrying pipe, which reduces to a large extent a shearing and vortexing of the fluid. A device for the axial delivery of fluidal mediums, having a tubular hollow body arrangement, in which delivery area, an impeller (9) with a blading, which can be rotated, is arranged and also has a fluid directional means. A motor (2), at least one impeller (9) which can be rotated, and at least one motor mounting (14) are arranged in a tubular hollow body (1) of the hollow body arrangement. The impeller (9) is connected axially force-fittingly and/or form-fittingly to the motor (2).

  • Patent number: 5246008
Abstract: A method for monitoring a patient for rejection reactions to an implanted organ is provided with an implantable telemetry measuring unit with electrodes that can be implanted in the organ. An electric current is passed through the body tissue via two current electrodes. The impedance of the body tissue through which this current is flowing is determined with two measuring electrodes. Each of the measuring electrodes annularly surrounds one and only one current electrode. The electrodes are embedded in a support element such that they project from this support element only with their front end.

  • Patent number: 5161540
Abstract: To monitor a patient for rejection reactions of an implanted heart, a permanent magnet is implanted epicardially in the heart wall and a magnetically active semiconductor element, preferably a Hall generator, is implanted endocardially. Movement of the heart wall results in changes in the distance between the permanent magnet and the semiconductor element. An implantable component supplies the semiconductor element with current and measures the signal generated by the movement of the heart wall. The measured values are transmitted electromagnetically out of the body by the component and recorded extracorporeally, and stored for data transmission.
