  • Patent number: 10404547
Abstract: Technologies for datacenter management include one or more computing racks each including a rack controller. The rack controller may receive system, performance, or health metrics for the components of the computing rack. The rack controller generates regression models to predict component lifespan and may predict logical machine lifespans based on the lifespan of the included hardware components. The rack controller may generate notifications or schedule maintenance sessions based on remaining component or logical machine lifespans. The rack controller may compose logical machines using components having similar remaining lifespans. In some embodiments the rack controller may validate a service level agreement prior to executing an application based on the probability of component failure. A management interface may generate an interactive visualization of the system state and optimize the datacenter schedule based on optimization rules derived from human input in response to the visualization.

  • Patent number: 10320858
Abstract: Notifications related to activity associated with a collaborative process are propagated to an originator to alert the originator of activity on the collaborative process. A collaborative process server receives an indication that the originator has initiated a collaborative process that generates collaborative content to be tracked. The collaborative process server is utilized to share the collaborative content associated with the collaborative process with at least one recipient. Computer implemented event(s) associated with the shared collaborative content by recipients are detected. Information associated with the collaborative process is automatically transformed in response to detected event(s) associated with the shared collaborative content, wherein a notification of the occurrence of the event(s) is propagated to the originator. The notification is generated in response to detected event(s) and is based upon the transformed information.

  • Publication number: 20180274851
Abstract: An illuminator has an elongate tubular body containing LEDs on a substrate and a lens forming a bridge over the LEDs. The tubular housing has a transparent top part to act as an outer lens and diffuser. The housing is connected at each end to an end cap via a resilient seal which is moulded into the end cap. The internal lens is compact and provides a versatile choice of illuminator configuration for desired illumination. A convex curved lower lens s profile ensures efficient transmission of emitted light without colour separation. The extent of sealing is very short due to the closed tube nature of the housing and the short perimeters for sealing of the ends of the body to the end caps.

  • Publication number: 20180225038
Abstract: An application executable on a computing device having a display, a memory and a processor is provided. The application creates a blank record having a plurality of unpopulated input fields. The display displays multiple lines of text in another application. The input fields are then populated by repeated execution of first and second user interface commands. The processor interprets the first command so as to mark a text portion extending along at least part of at least one line of the text, and the second command so as to populate one of the input fields based on the marked text portion. Once the input fields are populated the now populated record can be saved through a third user interface command.
