  • Publication number: 20110128690
Abstract: A power connects at an information handling system housing through a rotational connector that allows the power cable to align with plural axes relative to the housing. For example, force applied to the cable causes the rotational connector to rotate from a rear surface of the housing to a side surface or bottom surface of the housing. Excessive force results in a breakaway mechanism releasing the rotational connector from the housing so that the connector and internal power subsystem components avoid damage.

  • Patent number: 7806741
Abstract: An outboard motor is provided with two distinct and separate streams of air flowing through its cowl structure. One stream of air is intended to cool various heat emitting components under the cowl and the other stream of air is intended to provide required air for combustion within the cylinders of the engine. The two streams of air flow along first and second flow paths which are maintained in isolation with respect to each other so that the air in the two streams of air are not mixed together. In that way, heat is prevented from decreasing the density of the air stream flowing into the cylinders for combustion within the engine.

  • Publication number: 20070207233
Abstract: A process for preweakening the inside of an automotive trim piece cover layer of various constructions by use of a laser beam so as to enable formation of an air bag deployment opening in the trim piece formed at the time the air bag deploys. The laser beam impinges the inside surface of the cover to form a groove scoring or spaced perforations to form a preweakening pattern. A robot arm may be used to move a laser generator so as to form the preweakening pattern. The laser beam can be controlled in accordance with sensed conditions to achieve accurate preweakening, and may also be used to trim substrate panels and to perform other cutting operations.

  • Publication number: 20070186847
Abstract: A breading machine for dispensing a coating material onto a food product includes a breading chamber, a continuous conveyor for transporting food products through the breading chamber, a hopper including at least one downspout and a sloped bottom for dispensing coating material onto the food products, a hopper conveyor positioned within the hopper. At least one of an angular position or a vertical position of the hopper conveyor is adjustable to accommodate a variety of free flowing and non-free flowing coating materials. One or more air knives may be positioned in the downspouts to fluidize the coating material to alleviate bridging and/or build-up of the coating material within the downspout.

  • Publication number: 20070065926
Abstract: The invention provides improved methods of introducing site-directed mutations into circular DNA molecules of interest by means of mutagenic primer pairs. The mutagenic primer pairs are also selected so as to be either completely complementary or partially complementary to each other, wherein the mutation site (or sites) is located within the region of complementarity. A mutagenic primer pair is annealed to opposite strands of a circular DNA molecule containing the DNA sequence to be mutagenized. After annealing, first and second mutagenized DNA strands, each incorporating a member of the mutagenic oligonucleotide primer pair is synthesized by a linear cyclic amplification reaction. After the linear cyclic amplification mediated synthesis step is completed, the reaction mixture is treated with a selection enzyme that digests the parental template strands. After the digesting step, a double-stranded circular DNA intermediate is formed.
