  • Publication number: 20060247480
Abstract: Hydrocarbon conversion processes using a new family of zeolites identified as UZM-8HS are described. The UZM-8HS zeolite are derived from UZM-8 zeolites by treating the UZM-8 with a fluoro-silicate salt, an acid, etc. The UZM-8HS zeolites have unique x-ray diffraction patterns. • Publication number: 20060191289
Abstract: A low profile evaporator coil assembly and method for configuring the assembly in HVAC equipment. In one deployment, the assembly 40 is located between a heating furnace and a plenum. The assembly 40 includes multiple coil slabs 42 through which a refrigerant courses. The slabs 42 lie in a parallel relationship at an angle of inclination to the air entering a coil assembly 40. A baffle 46 is associated with each coil slab 42 to constrain air flow through the associated coil slab. A drain pan 52 is positioned beneath the slabs. The drain pan 52 has multiple troughs 54 for collecting condensate. At least some of the multiple troughs 54 have an air foil 56 that reduces air flow restriction.

  • Publication number: 20050285376
Abstract: An arrangement for forming an opening in an auto interior trim panel or piece normally having no visible indication of the opening just prior to inflation of an inflatable air bag, allowing deployment of the air bag into the passenger compartment of vehicle, the arrangement including a linear element positioned below the skin of the trim panel or wheel cover in a pattern corresponding to the opening. In a first embodiment a heat generating element is employed as the linear element which when activated degrades the covering skin layer of the trim piece in pattern shape. In a second embodiment detonating cord enclosed in a metal tube is employed with a series of holes directing the energy of detonation to sever the panel skin material. In a third embodiment a split sleeve having explosive coating on the inside is used to create a flame front severing the panel skin in the appropriate pattern.

  • Publication number: 20050191937
Abstract: A game call striker for frictionally interacting with a prior art game call. The game call striker includes a striker member that outwardly extends from a body portion. The body portion comprising first and second sound chambers, the first sound chamber including an insert sized to frictionally receive a base end of the striker member. In particular, the base end is fixedly secured within the insert with adhesive means such as glue. The striker member extends from the insert, through the first sound chamber, and outwardly extends from the body portion without the outer surface of the striker member touching the side walls of the first sound chamber. As a result, it is as though the striker member is “floating” within the first sound chamber.

  • Publication number: 20050143615
Abstract: A process for isomerizing ethylbenzene into xylenes such as para-xylene using a bimetallic zeolitic catalyst system based on MTW-type zeolite is disclosed. Preferably the two metals are platinum and tin. The invention obtains a stable and improved yield of xylenes such as para-xylene without excess benzene production by dealkylation. The zeolitic silica-to-alumina ratio ranges from 20 to 45. Use of MTW substantially free of mordenite improves yields and integrated aromatics complex economics by reducing undesirable aromatic ring-loss reactions.

  • Publication number: 20050143614
Abstract: A process for isomerizing ethylbenzene into paraxylene using a zeolitic catalyst system based on MTW-type zeolite that is substantially free of mordenite. The invention obtains an improved yield of paraxylene without excess benzene production by dealkylation. The zeolitic silica-to-alumina ratio ranges from 20 to 45. Elimination of mordenite in the catalyst improves yields and integrated aromatics complex economics by reducing undesirable aromatic ring-loss reactions as well.

  • Publication number: 20050116448
Abstract: A process for preweakening the inside of an automotive trim piece cover layer of various constructions by use of a laser beam so as to enable formation of an air bag deployment opening in the trim piece formed at the time the air bag deploys. The laser beam impinges the inside surface of the cover to form a groove scoring or spaced perforations to form a preweakening pattern. A robot arm may be used to move a laser generator so as to form the preweakening pattern. The laser beam can be controlled in accordance with sensed conditions to achieve accurate preweakening, and may also be used to trim substrate panels and to perform other cutting operations.

  • Publication number: 20040261021
Abstract: Methods and apparatus consistent with the invention allow a user to submit an ambiguous search query and to receive relevant search results. Queries can be expressed using character sets and/or languages that are different from the character set and/or language of at least some of the data that is to be searched. A translation between these character sets and/or languages can be performed by examining the use of terms in aligned text. Probabilities can be associated with each possible translation. Refinements can be made to these probabilities by examining user interactions with the search results.
