  • Publication number: 20180029041
Abstract: An apparatus for disintegration (or mixing) of a solid in a vessel containing liquid, has a control unit and an ultrasound transducer for generating ultrasonic energy under control of the control unit. A coupling medium in communication with the ultrasound transducer is adapted to receive the vessel. Ultrasonic energy is transferred to the contents of the vessel such that in use the ultrasonic energy causes disintegration of the solid into the liquid contained in the vessel. An agitating mechanism is adapted to agitate the disintegrated solid in the liquid contained in the vessel. The agitating mechanism may include a paddle having a coating of flavouring material. A method for disintegration of a solid in a vessel is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9754494
Abstract: An air traffic control system in which several tactical sectors each control of a respective tactical controller can be amalgamated into a single super-sector under control of a single planning controller. The tactical controllers can collaboratively manage flights in neighboring tactical sectors within the same planning sector and have awareness of selected flights and interactions outside their own tactical sector; the invention assesses and selects which flights to display for each controller (based upon separation responsibility).

  • Publication number: 20170178135
Abstract: A system for managing electronic transactions includes a communication interface to receive a request to adjudicate a single claim against an electronic benefits account. The system includes a policy engine to determine that the single claim against the electronic benefits account is approved for an amount of expenditures qualifying under the electronic benefits account. The policy engine is executed to identify a reimbursement policy of the electronic benefits account specifying an ordered list of account destinations for benefits account reimbursements, the electronic reimbursement account configured to allow transactions for non-qualifying benefits account expenditures. The policy engine is executed to update the electronic reimbursement account with a value corresponding to a credit for the approved amount. The system includes a notification engine to generate a notification identifying the update.

  • Publication number: 20170177808
Abstract: Provided is a system to allocate resources using an information technology infrastructure. The system receives financial and health data of a participant. The system identifies a healthcare expense prediction model to predict the future healthcare expenses of the participant. The system determines from the prediction model using the multi-dimensional feature vector of the participant, the predicted lifetime healthcare expenses of the participant. The system identifies lifetime non-healthcare expenses of the participant. The system identifies a healthcare tax benefit account to provide funds towards the predicted lifetime healthcare expenses and a non-healthcare tax benefit account to provide funds towards lifetime non-healthcare expenses. The system determines a first amount of funds to allocate to the healthcare tax benefit account and a second amount of funds to allocate to the non-healthcare tax benefit account. The system provides the first and second amount of funds to an interactive user interface.

  • Publication number: 20170177809
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to reducing resource consumption via information technology infrastructure. A server of the present disclosure receives one or more data packets including data indicating a healthcare transaction event. The server selects healthcare trend model trained by the server using previously received data packets. The server determines a correlation coefficient between each of a plurality of healthcare related recommendations and the selected healthcare trend model. The server retrieves a notification template from a notification data structure that maps to the highest ranking healthcare related recommendation. The server generates a request to deliver the notification corresponding to the highest ranking healthcare related recommendation at a destination address of a computing device of a participant.

  • Publication number: 20170121672
Abstract: The invention is in the field of growth of Mycobacteria. In particular, agents have been identified which enhance the growth of Mycobacterial species, which are naturally slow-growing. Such agents can therefore be used in the identification of Mycobacteria and in the diagnosis of Mycobacterial infections.

  • Publication number: 20170024728
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to conducting electronic transactions via a computer network. A server receives data packets carrying data identifying a merchant category, an electronic account maintained and configured on the server, and a first monetary amount of a first electronic transaction. A first device generates the data packets at the merchant to conduct the electronic transaction. A policy engine selects a first purse of a plurality of purses allocated to the electronic account based on a policy applied to the data. The first purse may be configured as a benefits purse. The server obtains the first monetary amount of the electronic transaction from the first purse. The policy engine applies a second policy to the data to determine a reimbursement amount based on the first monetary amount of the transaction, and electronically provides the reimbursement amount to a different second purse of the electronic account.

  • Patent number: 9553451
Abstract: A load control system for controlling the amount of power delivered from an AC power source to a plurality of electrical load includes a plurality of independent units responsive to a broadcast controller. Each independent unit includes at least one commander and at least one energy controller for controlling at least one of the electrical loads in response to a control signal received from the commander. The independent units are configured and operate independent of each other. The broadcast controller transmits wireless signals to the energy controllers of the independent units. The energy controllers do not respond to control signals received from the commanders of other independent units, but the energy controllers of both independent units respond to the wireless signals transmitted by broadcast controller. The energy controller may operate in different operating modes in response to the wireless signals transmitted by the broadcast controller.
