  • Patent number: 8282509
Abstract: A foldable device for use in supporting sports nets or the like, the foldable device including: a) a selectively foldable support ring including pivotally secured substantially arcuate sections; and b) a foldable support stand for engaging the ring and having a first open position and a second closed position; and c) at least a part of the ring forming at least one handle when said support stand is in the second position.

  • Patent number: 8269491
Abstract: Presented is a sensor that includes a magnetoresistive (MR) sensing device to sense a magnetic field and to produce an AC signal voltage proportional to the sensed magnetic field. The sensor also includes circuitry, coupled to the MR sensing device, to remove DC offset from the AC signal voltage. The DC offset may be related to the hysteresis characteristics of the MR sensing device. To remove DC offset, the circuitry may obtain an averaged DC offset and subtract the averaged DC offset from the AC signal voltage to produce a sensor output signal.

  • Patent number: 8086977
Abstract: A system and method for switching digital circuit clock net driver without losing clock pulses is presented. A device uses glitchless clock selection logic, which includes an edge detector, to select a clock signal to provide to device circuitry based upon the device circuitry's performance requirements. When the rising edges of a first clock signal and a second clock signal align, the edge detector momentarily pulses a clock switch signal, which is used to clock in a clock selection signal to a multiplexer. As a result, when the clock selection signal is high, the device waits until the clock edges are aligned before switching clock signals.

  • Patent number: 8080994
Abstract: An integrated current sensor includes a current conductor, a magnetic field transducer, and an electromagnetic shield. The magnetic field transducer includes a sensor die. The electromagnetic shield is disposed proximate to the sensor die. The electromagnetic shield has at least one feature selected to reduce an eddy current in the electromagnetic shield.

  • Publication number: 20110290916
Abstract: A showerhead (10) with an outlet defined by an inwardly facing first sharp edge (44) surrounded by an outwardly extending first surface (46). The first surface (46) is angled in the opposite direction to that of water (Sr, Se) leaving the outlet.

  • Patent number: 8065489
Abstract: Method and apparatus for managing concurrent access among computers to a bitmap stored on disk storage. In some examples, a command is received from a requesting computer of the computers, the command indicating that one or more bits in the bitmap are to be cleared. The bitmap as stored on the disk storage is updated responsive to the command to clear the one or more bits in the bitmap. Synchronization data associated with the bitmap is stored. The synchronization data is configured to distinguish between a current generation and a previous generation of the bitmap, and to specify an action to be performed in response to receiving a subsequent command for accessing the bitmap if the subsequent command identifies a previous generation.

  • Publication number: 20100326903
Abstract: A device (20) for improving drainline clearance for use with an ultra low flushing volume toilet (24). The device (20) includes a centrifuge separator means (30), for separating liquids (L) and solids (S), and a reservoir (42). The separator means (30) has a substantially horizontal inlet (32), adapted for connection to the outlet (26) of a toilet pan (24), an outlet (36) primarily for solids (S) and an outlet (38) primarily for liquids (L). The reservoir (42) is beneath the separator means (30) and has an inlet (38) in fluid communication with the liquids outlet (38) of the separator means (30). The reservoir (42) is adapted to syphonically empty substantially all of its contents into a sewerage drainline (22) after at least 2 flushes of the toilet (24). Further, the separator means (30) and the reservoir (42) have a combined vertical dimension less than the maximum height of the toilet pan outlet for installation adjacent the toilet (24) and substantially above the floor level (F) of the toilet (24).
