Abstract: A lifting system for lifting a person into a construction vehicle for operation thereof, including a wheelchair compatible seat which detaches from a wheelchair; and a lifting mechanism including a rack and pinion mechanism, mounted to a top portion of the construction vehicle, a rack portion of the rack and pinion mechanism being movable outwardly and inwardly with respect to a side of the construction vehicle, a crane assembly disposed on the rack portion and having a lifting cable with a clip mounted on the end, and a lifting harness connected to the wheelchair compatible seat and connected to the clip, wherein when the clip is connected to the harness, the crane assembly of the lifting mechanism is activated and the wheelchair compatible seat is lifted up from the wheelchair, moved inwardly by the rack portion to a seat position of the construction vehicle, and lowered into the seat position.

The invention relates to self-erecting silo storage systems for use in the oil and natural gas mining and drilling industries. The silo storage systems of embodiments of the instant invention are uniquely designed to improve storage capabilities and mobility while at the same time reducing space requirements at well sites.

Abstract: Disclosed herein, among other things, are apparatus and methods for wireless hearing assistance devices and in particular to a controllable range control for wireless hearing assistance device systems. An advertisement is used to allow the receiver to quickly receive streaming information, thus conserving power. In various embodiments, a system for communications with a hearing assistance device includes a wireless streaming device having a range control. The range control is configured to provide a first range for an advertisement transmission and a second range for a streaming information transmission. The first range is less than the second range, in various embodiments.

Abstract: A handle assembly for a vehicle door includes a backplate, operable to be mounted to a portion of the vehicle door, and the backplate including a recessed region displaced away from the exterior surface of the vehicle door. A handle aperture is provided within the recessed region of the backplate with at least one pin mount extending from the recessed region of the backplate. The pin mount includes a void and a slot that is narrower than the void. Pins extend from a handle body portion into the voids and pivotally mount the handle to the backplate. The handle further includes a spring locator retaining a handle spring prior to mounting the handle to the backplate. The spring is compressed between the handle and the backplate and biases the handle to an un-actuated position.

Abstract: A method of generating radiation comprises: manufacturing a structure comprising a substrate supporting a layer of InGaAs, InGaAsP, or InGaAlAs material doped with a dopant, said manufacturing comprising growing said layer such that said dopant is incorporated in said layer during growth of the layer; illuminating a portion of a surface of the structure with radiation having photon energies greater than or equal to a band gap of the doped InGaAs, InGaAsP, or InGaAlAs material so as to create electron-hole pairs in the layer of doped material; and accelerating the electrons and holes of said pairs with an electric field so as to generate radiation. In certain embodiments the dopant is Fe. Corresponding radiation detecting apparatus, spectroscopy systems, and antennas are described.

Some methods include outputting an indication (for instance likelihoods) of psychometric pairings of clients and the agent. Images of property can be distributed to the members and their image rankings can be received. The image rankings can be used to psychometrically match the clients with the property. The matchings and pairings can use the rankings and real estate criteria received from the members. The social data can be used to match the clients with property. Pairings of the clients and the agent can use the criteria. Some social data can be for a connection involving the client.
