  • Publication number: 20160326863
Abstract: A bend angle sensing assembly for determining a downhole bend angle of a downhole adjustable bent housing. The bend angle sensing assembly includes a flow diverter having a plurality of diverter apertures for receiving drilling fluid, the flow diverter orientable to a plurality of diverter configurations in dependence on the bend angle of the associated downhole adjustable bent housing. Each of the plurality of diverter configurations have one or more of the plurality of diverter apertures opening or closing to form a corresponding flow path configuration, each flow path configuration having a different flow area whereby the pressure of the drilling fluid changes for each flow path configuration. Additionally, a pressure sensor is communicatively coupled to the drilling fluid.

  • Patent number: 9454199
Abstract: Servers, storage medium and methods associated with control of power management services of remote servers of a remote computing service are disclosed herein. In embodiments, a storage medium may have instructions to enable a local server to query a remote computing service having one or more remote servers. The instructions may enable the local server to receive a record from the remote computing service in response to the query. The record may include information related to power management services available from the one or more remote servers. The instructions may enable the local server to transmit power management commands, based on the information, to the remote computing service to at least partially control power consumption by the one or more remote servers. Other embodiments may be disclosed or claimed.

  • Publication number: 20160242393
Abstract: Disclosed modular animal collar systems include a D ring exoskeleton system, a breakaway latch tongue system and other systems. Disclosed collars include auto release systems to ensure that collars do not choke or otherwise injure a pet. Collars include sophisticated electronics to commutate with a pet owner's smart phone but also include means of communication not requiring the use of a smart phone. Collars may include a base collar containing a micro controller and other computer related components. Surrounding modular components may contain additional equipment and may be added as needed by a pet owner. Disclosed collar functions are executed by the disclosed collars and facilitate the retrieval, care and training of a pet.

  • Patent number: 9260237
Abstract: A cap for a container that stores and dispenses fluids or gels that includes a shroud having a shroud wall surrounding an opening and a collar connected on the shroud so that the collar selectively rotates relative to the shroud, is provided. The collar is rotatable between a closed position and an open position. The actuator is connected to the shroud, and has a contact portion. The contact portion is in the opening of the shroud. The actuator is movable in the closed position and the open position by a force that is applied to the contact portion only after removal of a tab.

  • Publication number: 20160026975
Abstract: Notifications that serve as “hints” related to activity associated with a collaborative process are propagated to an originator to alert the originator of activity on the collaborative process. A collaborative process server computer receives an indication that the originator has initiated a computer implemented collaborative process that generates collaborative content to be tracked. The collaborative process server computer is utilized to share the collaborative content associated with the collaborative process with at least one recipient. Computer implemented event(s) associated with the shared collaborative content by recipients are detected. Information associated with the collaborative process is automatically transformed in response to detected event(s) associated with the shared collaborative content, wherein a notification of the occurrence of the event(s) is propagated to the originator. The notification is generated in response to detected event(s) and is based upon the transformed information.
