  • Patent number: 10417238
Abstract: Techniques for responding to content requests that originate from remote computing devices are provided. In one technique, a content request that includes a viewer identifier of a user that requested web content and a contextual entity identifier of an entity that is referenced in the web content is received. In response to receiving the content request, based on the viewer identifier, first profile data about a viewer associated with the viewer identifier is retrieved. Also, based on the contextual entity identifier, second profile data about the entity is retrieved. Based on the first profile data and the second profile data, a content delivery campaign is identified. Particular content to deliver is determined based on the content delivery campaign. The particular content is sent to a computing device that initiated the content request.

  • Publication number: 20190266436
Abstract: The present approach relates to detection of image artifacts symptomatic of needed calibration and/or failing hardware with no or limited human intervention, such as using machine learning. Detection of image artifacts can occur as part of normal imaging system operation and/or as part of a quality assessment of a newly manufactured or already installed system. Detection of image artifacts can adapt or learn as new scans are acquired using supervised or semi-supervised learning. Assessment of system imaging performance in the recently manufactured as well as the installed base can be performed reliably and automatically.

  • Publication number: 20190236745
Abstract: A vehicle computer includes a watermark memory and a watermark processor programmed to execute instructions stored in the watermark memory. The instructions executed by the watermark processor include receiving an image captured by a camera, selecting a set of random pixel locations, generating a random watermark, and embedding the random watermark into the image at the set of random pixel locations. Another vehicle computer includes a validation memory and a validation processor programmed to execute instructions stored in the validation memory. The instructions executed by the validation processor include receiving a watermarked image, determining a random watermark, detecting an embedded watermark in the received watermarked image by selecting a set of random pixels and analyzing the selected set of random pixels for the random watermark, and authenticating the watermarked image as a result of determining that the watermarked image includes the random watermark at the set of random pixel locations.

  • Publication number: 20190130047
Abstract: Techniques for centralizing client-side logic for retrieving remote content items are provided. In one technique, a client device receives, from a server, data that includes first code and a web document. The data is processed at the client device, which processing comprises analyzing the web document to identify a first component that specifies multiple data items and executing code associated with the first component to generate a first reference that is based on the multiple data items, generate a first executable element, and insert the first reference into the first executable element. The first executable element is executed at the client device, wherein executing the first executable element causes a first request that includes the first reference to be transmitted over a network. In response to the first request, a first content item is received and displayed within a web page that is rendered based on the web document.

  • Publication number: 20190104201
Abstract: Techniques are provided for server-to-server interaction for content item selection. A system receives a request for one or more content items from a client device. In response to receiving the request, the system generates multiple content requests. Each content request is sent to a different content provider of multiple content providers. At least one of the content requests is transmitted over a network to a content provider that is remote relative to the system. The system receives multiple responses, each of which is from a different content provider of the multiple content providers. Each response identifies a different content item. The system makes a determination that at least one content item is associated with a particular web domain. The system selects, based on the determination, a particular content item of the plurality of content items and causes the particular content item to be transmitted to the client device.
