  • Publication number: 20180032583
Abstract: Techniques for responding to content requests that originate from remote computing devices are provided. In one technique, a content request that includes a viewer identifier of a user that requested web content and a contextual entity identifier of an entity that is referenced in the web content is received. In response to receiving the content request, based on the viewer identifier, first profile data about a viewer associated with the viewer identifier is retrieved. Also, based on the contextual entity identifier, second profile data about the entity is retrieved. Based on the first profile data and the second profile data, a content delivery campaign is identified. Particular content to deliver is determined based on the content delivery campaign. The particular content is sent to a computing device that initiated the content request.

  • Patent number: 9790407
Abstract: Compositions and methods are described for a temporary coating and adhesive with adjustable acidity for use in coating work units as a planarization coating over high topography and also for affixing thin units onto a carrier whereby such compositions provide sufficient properties to support a manufacturing process, and upon completion, the compositions are removed by an aqueous detergent that dissolves and releases the work unit within a rapid time frame without harm to its integrity. The temporary adhesive provides a tunable acidity based upon Lewis acid represented as its acid dissociative constant, Ka, where it is preferred to have Ka?1×10?6 (pKa?6), more preferred Ka?1×10?5 (pKa?5), and most preferred Ka?1×10?4 (pKa?4). The temporary coating and adhesive may be applied and cured in a variety of ways that meet the needs of the work unit and objectives of the manufacturing process.

  • Patent number: 9793829
Abstract: Provided is a magneto-thermoelectric generator (MTG) device for energy harvesting and more particularly a device for converting waste thermal heat from a photovoltaic cell into mechanical energy and ultimately into electrical energy. Embodiments operate on the principle of thermally-induced switching between open and closed states of a ferromagnetic switch to generate mechanical oscillations that cause strain in a piezoelectric material, resulting in the generation of electrical energy. A structure capable of providing a non-linear restoring force provides mechanical energy to the device, which is a significant improvement over prior art MTG devices employing a linear spring restorative force. The device is also provided as a hybrid photovoltaic (PV)/MTG energy harvester for scavenging heat from photovoltaic cells. The hybrid PV/MTG device is particularly useful for harvesting waste heat to boost power generation, extend flight duration, and provide thermal management aboard HALE platforms.

  • Patent number: 9611451
Abstract: Compositions and methods useful for the removal of organic substances from substrates, for example, electronic device substrates, are provided. A method is presented which uses a minimum amount of solid form concentrate that is diluted into water, introduced into a manufacturing tool and heated, applied to said substrate for a sufficient time to allow penetration and removal of an organic substance, and immediately rinsed with water to achieve complete removal. These compositions and methods are particularly suitable for removing and completely dissolving photoresists of the positive variety most commonly used in the manufacture of a flat panel display (FPD) and other electronic substrates.

  • Patent number: 9470437
Abstract: Magnetothermal pump devices are provided. Such devices can operate on the principle of thermally induced switching between open and closed states of a magnetic switch to generate mechanical oscillations. Exemplary devices provided include a thermal gradient and a magnet with a Curie temperature at or within this gradient. When the soft magnet is below the Curie temperature, it has sufficient magnetic force to bind a hard magnet at the hot side of the gradient. Heating of the magnet at the hot side causes it to exceed its Curie temperature, resulting in loss of magnetic attraction. At this stage, a restorative force exceeds the magnetic force, causing the magnet to shift to the cold side of the gradient, which oscillations can be used to pump fluid. Any magnetic transition that results in a change in the vector nature of the magnetic moment of the soft magnetic material can be employed.
