  • Publication number: 20230110650
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for identifying highly sensitive modules and taking a remediation or preventative action if such modules are accessed by malicious software. For example, the likelihood that a module is used for an exploit, and is thus sensitive, is categorized as high, medium, or low. The likelihood that a module can be used for an exploit can dictate whether, and to what degree, an application accessing the module is “suspicious.” However, in some instances, a sensitive module may have legitimate reasons to load when used in certain non-malicious ways. The system may also consider a trust level when determining what actions to take, such that an application and/or user having a higher trust level may be less suspicious when accessing a sensitive module as compared to an application or user having a lower trust level.

  • Publication number: 20230110418
Abstract: In examples, a first Anycast advertisement is received from a first server identifying the first server as a primary address for a service. In addition, a second Anycast advertisement is received from the first server identifying the first server as a secondary address for the service. Further, a third Anycast advertisement is received from a second server identifying the second server as the secondary address for the service. A first community advertisement is also from the first server identifying the first server as a member of a first community. Thereafter, a first request is received from a client including the primary address, and the request is routed to the first server. When a second request from the client is received including the secondary address, based at least on the community advertisement, the first server is ignored, and the second request is routed to the second server.

  • Patent number: 11625145
Abstract: Electrostatic friction textures on a touchscreen panel are used to create the sensation of block icons in a contextual menu adapted to an automotive environment. In particular, a center stack touchscreen friction display in a passenger vehicle provides one set of touch controls and HMI data to the driver while simultaneously providing either the same control options and HMI or a completely different set of information and menu structure to the passenger in invisible texture form. The invisible texture is in the form of block icons, and coincidence between a finger of a passenger and a block icon results in an audio announcement of the block icon to guide a visually impaired passenger through the contextual menu.

  • Patent number: 11624595
Abstract: A self-glowing solid material comprises a man-made metal mixture containing at least one rare earth metal and an oxide of iron. The material is inducible by flame initiation to self-glow with yellow-to-red colors (577-to-700 nanometer wavelengths). A stealth tracer ammunition comprises a projectile body having a tip and a base, and a solid pellet disposed in the base. The pellet may be made from the above-mentioned self-glowing solid material or another suitable material. The pellet becomes incandescent as a result of being heated when the ammunition is fired. The incandescent pellet emits a glow observable only from behind when the ammunition travels downrange after being fired. An illuminant comprises a bimodal blend of a man-made metal mixture containing at least one rare earth metal and an oxide of iron. The bimodal blend is a blend of smaller-sized fragments and larger-sized pellets. The illuminant is capable of ignition and dispersion in response to ballistic energy to create illumination.

  • Patent number: 11623637
Abstract: Leading and trailing electrified vehicles are coupled together in a towing arrangement for in-flight transfer of an electrical charge between their battery systems. With the vehicles connected by a towing device, a parking maneuver is initiated in which the trailing vehicle leads the leading vehicle. For the parking maneuver, one of the vehicles is designated (e.g., automatically or by driver agreement) to be an active steering vehicle and the other vehicle to be a passive steering vehicle. At least the passive steering vehicle comprises an electrically-controlled steering actuator. During movement, a turning (e.g., steering angle) of the active steering vehicle is monitored. Based on the turning of the active steering vehicle, an assistive steering angle is determined for the passive steering vehicle. The electrically-controlled steering actuator is commanded according to the assistive steering angle. The parking maneuver may be reverse or forward.

  • Patent number: 11622800
Abstract: A plate for attaching to an anatomic structure with fasteners. A body defines openings for receiving the fasteners, and includes a bottom surface that is concave. The plate includes bone pad surface, and a spike extends away from the bone pad surface. The bone pad surface is oriented at an angle relative to the bottom surface to prevent further penetration of the spike into the anatomic structure beyond a predetermined depth. The bone pad surface may be oriented at an obtuse angle relative to the bottom surface. The bone pad surfaces may be planar or concave, or contoured to a corresponding profile of the anatomic structure. The spikes may be pyramidal or conical. At least one side of the spike may be integral and continuous with the bottom surface. The side may have a radius of curvature equal to that of the bottom surface.

  • Patent number: 11625686
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for managing reminders in a content management system. For example, a user can select content (e.g., a content item, content within a content item, metadata for a content item, etc.) and provide input to cause the content management system to generate a reminder related to the content. The reminder data can be generated automatically. The reminder can be generated based on user input defining attributes of the reminder. Based on a due date associated with the reminder, the content management system can cause a notification to be presented to the user so that the user can be reminded to perform a task related to the selected item of content. The user can select a representation of the reminder to cause the content management system to present the item of content associated with the reminder.

  • Publication number: 20230105433
Abstract: Electrical current flow in a ball grid array (BGA) package can be measured by an apparatus including an integrated circuit (IC) electrically connected to the BGA package. Solder balls connect the BGA package to a printed circuit board (PCB) and are arranged to provide a contiguous channel for a current sense wire. A subset of solder balls is electrically connected to supply current from the PCB through the BGA package to the IC. The current sense wire is attached to the upper surface of the PCB, within the contiguous channel, and surrounds the subset of solder balls. An amplifier is electrically connected to the current sense wire ends to amplify a voltage induced on the current sense wire by current flow into the BGA package. A sensing analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is electrically connected to convert a voltage at the output of the amplifier into digital output signals.

  • Publication number: 20230108129
Abstract: The systems/methods analyze the vast reservoir of data that is collected in-flight during a commercial aircraft's travels over several months. That data is analyzed to identify and remove data points that do not represent stable cruise. This may be achieved in multiple steps to manage the extremely large data sets. The data points, now representing stable cruise, are further analyzed to identify control surfaces that are out-of-tolerance (i.e., mis-rigged). That information can be provided to commercial airlines for subsequent use to re-rig the identified mis-rigged aircrafts. Via various methodologies, fuel efficiencies are ascertained to illustrate the potential fuel savings if aircraft are retrofitted with certain drag reduction technology. General aircraft performance may be established via the results of the systems/methods. Poorly performing aircraft also can be identified. Other features and benefits are provided.
