The gear head may be operably coupled to the motor to be operated responsive to powering of the motor. The gear head may include a drive assembly and a feed assembly. The spindle may be operably coupled to the gear head to enable the spindle to be selectively driven rotationally and fed axially based on operation of the drive assembly and the feed assembly, respectively. The feed assembly may include a feed rate oscillator having a spindle feed gear operably coupled to a differential feed gear. The spindle feed gear is operably coupled to rotate the spindle to selectively axially feed the spindle. The differential feed gear is selectively operably coupled to an input shaft turned by the motor. At least one of the spindle feed gear or the differential feed gear has a variable pitch diameter.

  • Publication number: 20170126441
Abstract: Systems and methods for sampling clock alignment and time offset signaling are disclosed herein. A transmitter broadcasting symbol-aligned frames at multiple baseband sampling rates can benefit from generating the frames to have durations that can be represented by an integer number of samples at two or more of the baseband sampling rates. In some embodiments, a transmitter adds samples to a frame to ensure that its duration meets such a criteria. Furthermore, the problem of signaling network time in symbol-aligned frames is simplified by sampling clock alignment. Approaches for signaling time offset of a transmission to the nearest millisecond boundary are also presented.

  • Publication number: 20170097386
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for measuring an electrical current, particularly an AC electrical current, for example to measure a frequency response of a transformer. In a disclosed arrangement, a connection is made of a current input terminal for receiving a current to be measured to an input terminal of a differential amplifier via a portion of a resistive network. The resistive network holds the current input terminal at a ground voltage and the two input terminals of the amplifier at a common finite voltage above the ground voltage. The amplifier provides as output a measure of the current to be measured.
