  • Patent number: 11978303
Abstract: An integrated active control system includes gaming devices, a server, and a network connecting the server and gaming devices. The gaming devices include gaming terminals and gaming tables. The integrated active control system aggregates gaming transaction information from the gaming devices and determines, for example, the effectiveness of the gaming establishment's floor configuration. Based on this effectiveness determination, at least one of the gaming devices are instructed to change their configuration. Staffing information may also be considered and reconfigured. The integrated active control system further monitors and configures gaming chips. The gaming chips are programmable, and may store monetary chip value and chip identification information. The programmable gaming chips are monitored for tracking the wagers made with the chips as well as for detecting their location.

  • Publication number: 20240081646
Abstract: An apparatus and method for monitoring body temperature includes a temperature sensor configured to detect a body temperature of a user wearing a wearable device and produce a temperature signal representative of the detected body temperature. A transmitter is configured to send and receive signals including the temperature signal produced by the temperature sensor. When those instructions are executed by the circuitry, the wearable device receives a plurality of temperature signals from the temperature sensor over a predetermined period of time and transmits the plurality of temperature signals to a server to determine a baseline temperature pattern for the user. A user alert signal is received from the server when the current temperature signal differs from the baseline temperature pattern by a predetermined threshold, the user alert signal indicating a potential illness of the user.

  • Patent number: 11576592
Abstract: A method of characterising tremor stability in a subject is described for a subject having an involuntary tremor symptomatic of a neurological disorder. The method comprising: identifying a series of tremor cycles from measured tremor data of the subject, said tremor cycles measuring periodic variation in movement of the subject due to the tremor; determining an instantaneous frequency for each tremor cycle and collating the instantaneous frequencies; determining an instantaneous variation between the instantaneous frequencies of each pair of adjacent tremor cycles within the series; comparing the instantaneous variation to the collation of determined instantaneous frequencies to determine a distribution of instantaneous variations; and determining an index value of the distribution of the instantaneous variations, said index value defining the stability of the tremor.
