  • Publication number: 20250127304
Abstract: A mechanical transmission includes one or more transmission housings. Each transmission housing defines a plurality of clevis-like yokes. An elongate axle extends across each clevis-like yoke. In some embodiments, the housing is configured to capture the axle without additional fasteners or modifying the axle after inserting it into the housing. Each in a plurality of linkage arms pivotably extends from each respective axle and matingly engages with at least one other linkage arm in a manner that urges each linkage arm to pivot when one of the linkage arms pivots. Chassis including a network of such linkages and transmission housings also are described.

  • Patent number: 10788963
Abstract: Techniques for recording and replay of a live conference while still attending the live conference are described. A conferencing system includes a user interface generator, a live conference processing module, and a replay processing module. The user interface generator is configured to generate a user interface that includes a replay control panel and one or more output panels. The live conference processing module is configured to extract information included in received conferencing data that is associated with one or more conferencing modalities, and to display the information in the one or more output panels in a live manner (e.g., as a live conference). The replay processing module is configured to enable information associated with the one or more conferencing modalities corresponding to a time of the conference session prior to live to be presented at a desired rate, possibly different from the real-time rate.

  • Patent number: 9591260
Abstract: In general, the immersive telepresence implementations described herein allow desired telepresence experiences of users or telepresence travel participants to be automatically matched with travel volunteers that can provide these telepresence experiences. The mobile computing devices of the travel volunteers provide audio, video and other data to the travel participant so that the travel participant can experience the sights and sounds of a desired telepresence experience (which can include location and time, as well as a desired activity) without the travel participant physically being present. The immersive telepresence implementations described herein automatically find matches between telepresence experiences on a list (e.g., bucket list) of a travel participant and one or more travel volunteers and provide for various features to provide an immersive and personalized telepresence experience for the travel participant.

  • Patent number: 9483868
Abstract: Rendering graphical objects to a display of a mobile client computing device by obtaining virtual object information, obtaining normal components of the virtual object, encoding an image file that describes the normal components of the virtual object, wherein encoding the image file includes encoding dimensional parameters of the normal components into color parameters held by the image file for individual image pixels so that the color information held by the image file describes the surfaces of the virtual object, determining a likely viewing angle of a user associated with the mobile client computing device, and modulating the color parameters in the image file describing the surfaces of the virtual object in response to an indication of a change of the orientation of the mobile client computing device.
