  • Publication number: 20160207408
Abstract: A system for coiling an electrical cable employed for charging an electric vehicle employs a cable management system. The cable management system has a drive assembly which has a drive mode that retracts the cable and release mode which allows for the cable to be extended. The installation employs a drum having a cylindrical sidewall. The drive assembly drives the cable downwardly into a drum so that the cable progressively engages the sidewall to form a vertical coiled configuration. A clutch assembly cooperates with the drive assembly to provide the automatic retracting and extending operations and also locks the vehicle connector at the end of the electrical cable in an extended position as well as a retracted home position.

  • Publication number: 20160208806
Abstract: A submersible electrical motor that drives a pump has an electrical connector receptacle base. A plug opening extends from the base into an interior of the motor and has a side wall extending around a plug opening axis. An electrical connector plug at an end of a motor lead has a nose portion that stabs into the plug opening and is surrounded by the side wall. An inward facing shoulder formed in the side wall faces inward into the motor. An outward facing shoulder on the nose portion faces outward from the motor interior and registers with the inward facing shoulder when the nose portion is fully received within the plug opening. A retainer inserts into engagement with the inward and outward facing shoulders to prevent outward movement of the plug in the plug opening. The retainer may be a pin or a ring.

  • Publication number: 20160210748
Abstract: In a method for ex vivo evaluation of tissue response, a target biological sample is placed in a chamber of a sample holder. Biodynamic imaging (BDI) is performed on the sample to extract BDI data of the entire sample, optical coherence imaging (OCI) data is generated from the BDI data; and then motility contrast imaging (MCI) data is generated from the OCI data. The MCI data is used to select an area of the ex vivo sample having the highest normalized standard deviation (NSD) value, indicative of a region of desirable responsiveness to a stimuli. The sample is subjected to a perturbation or external condition and an MCI analysis is performed on the selected area to determine the tissue response to the perturbation or external condition. In one aspect, the selected area or region of interest is obtained using a gradient descent method.

Abstract: The subject invention provides for a weatherstrip assembly for sealing between a frame and a closure member of a vehicle. The assembly includes a trim portion having a body and a flange extending from the body. The flange is capable of moving between an initial position and a final position. A seal extends from the body for abutting and sealing the closure member. An adhesive is disposed on the body for coupling the trim portion to the frame. The adhesive is disposed opposite the seal such that the seal extends away from the adhesive. A retaining member is selectively mounted to the flange and spaced from the adhesive for selectively engaging the frame to selectively hold the flange in the initial position relative to the frame. The retaining member is removed from the flange while concurrently moving the flange toward the final position.
