  • Publication number: 20160212884
Abstract: A switch includes a switch chassis that houses a heat producing component. A plurality of side walls are located on the switch chassis and define a chassis perimeter. A top wall extends between the plurality of side walls and defines a top wall perimeter vent adjacent the chassis perimeter. A bottom wall extends between the plurality of side walls, is located opposite the switch chassis from the top wall, and defines a bottom wall perimeter vent adjacent the chassis perimeter. A plurality of feet are located on the bottom wall and provide an air gap between the switch chassis and a support surface when the plurality of feet engage the support surface. In response to the heat producing component generating heat, fresh air is drawn in through the air gap and the bottom wall perimeter vent, and heated air flows through the top wall perimeter vent.

  • Publication number: 20160209081
Abstract: A flameless heater includes a diesel engine, a hydraulic or electric load that is powered by the diesel engine thereby generating heat, a heat exchanger that transfers heat to air flowing through the air from the flameless heat source, and possibly other heat exchangers for heating the air flowing therethrough with engine coolant and/or with exhaust gases. The system may be operated to maintain relatively high load on the engine for at least the majority of the time so as to reduce or negate the need for parked regeneration. The system may also control airflow through the system and possibly other system parameters to obtain a given setpoint such as a given discharge air temperature. In one embodiment, airflow through the system is controlled by louvers under the power of an electric motor or other actuator controlled by the system's controller.

  • Publication number: 20160212055
Abstract: At an application at a sender system, when an amount of data to be transmitted from the sender exceeds a flow size threshold, the data is divided into a set of chunks of a size. According to a mapping selection rule, a subset is selected from a set of selected label mappings, wherein each label mapping in the subset maps an original label in the data to a different virtual label. For a chunk, when by routing the chunk to a first networking component corresponding to a first virtual label a fraction of the amount of data that will have been routed to the first component will exceed a mapping threshold, the original label in the chunk is replaced with a second virtual label from a second label mapping in the subset. The chunk is routed to a second networking component corresponding to the second virtual label.

  • Publication number: 20160210690
Abstract: The present system and method provides a unique and fast-paced method of auctioning multiple units concurrently. An auction group is created within the server, being made up of a plurality of, preferably homologous, units. All units within the auction group are concurrently auctioned in a primary auction, with each unit being bid upon within cooccurring separate sub-auctions within an auction period. Each bidding user has the opportunity to bid within one or more sub-auctions. Upon receiving a high bid within a particular sub-auction, a high bid period for that sub-auction is initiated, within which a counterbid must be received or the unit within that sub-auction will be awarded to the high bidding user. The sub-auctions may individually end prior to the expiration of the auction period. Successive primary auctions can be initiated, so that the user may obtain one or more units within each primary auction.
