  • Patent number: 12008369
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed that relate to executing fused instructions. A processor may include a decoder circuit and a load/store circuit. The decoder circuit may detect a load/store instruction to load a value from a memory and detect a non-load/store instruction that depends on the value to be loaded. The decoder circuit may fuse the load/store instruction and the non-load/store instruction such that one or more operations that the non-load/store instruction is defined to perform are to be executed within the load/store circuit. The load/store circuit may receive an indication of the fused load/store and non-load/store instructions and then execute one or more operations of the load/store instruction and the one or more operations of the non-load/store instruction using a circuit included in the load/store circuit.

  • Patent number: 12008375
Abstract: A microprocessor includes a branch target buffer (BTB). Each BTB entry holds a tag based on at least a portion of a virtual address of a block of instructions previously fetched from a physically-indexed physically-tagged set associative instruction cache using a physical address that is a translation of the virtual address, a translated address bit portion of a set index of an instruction cache entry from which the instruction block was previously fetched, and a way number of the instruction cache entry from which the instruction block was previously fetched. In response to a BTB hit based on a fetch virtual address, the BTB provides a translated address bit portion of a predicted set index that is the translated address bit portion of the set index from the hit on BTB entry and a predicted way number that is the way number from the hit on BTB entry.

  • Patent number: 12008507
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments described in this disclosure generally pertain to systems and methods to handle packages transported in a delivery vehicle. In an example embodiment, a computer that is provided in a vehicle receives a command related to delivery of a package. The command may be associated, for example, with rerouting of the vehicle due to various reasons such as, for example, due to a change in a delivery schedule and/or a delivery priority. The computer may respond to the command by operating an unmanned package moving apparatus to move the package from one location in a cargo area of the vehicle to another location in the cargo area while the vehicle is in motion and prior to the vehicle reaching a delivery destination for the package. In an example implementation, the unmanned package moving apparatus includes a bed of rollers that are operated by servomotors under control of the computer.

Abstract: A composite material is provided. In some aspects, the composite material may include a combination of a thermoplastic resin mixed with a polypropylene-graft-maleic anhydride (PPgMA). Carbon particles may be mixed in the combination. In this way, the composite material may include between 80 wt. % and 90 wt. % of the thermoplastic resin, between 0.5 wt. % and 15 wt. % of PPgMA, and between 0.1 wt. % to 7 wt. % of carbon particles. Carbon particles may have exposed carbon surfaces with carbon atoms bonded to molecular sites on adjacent PPgMA molecules. At least some carbon atoms may be oxidized with one or more of oxygen-containing groups. Oxidation of carbon atoms may be associated with an increase in at least some PPgMA molecules chemically bonding with adjacent carbon atoms per unit volume. In this way, interaction between carbon atoms and PPgMA molecules may maintain composite material density within +/?3% of thermoplastic resin density.

  • Patent number: 12008644
Abstract: Aspects described herein may allow for receiving, by a detection server, a plurality of configuration parameters, wherein each configuration parameter includes a type of a risk and an associated level of the risk, with a corresponding automated remediation action for each configuration parameter. A remediation management framework authenticates the detection server for access to the remediation management framework and initiates a scanning of a system of interest, based on the plurality of configuration parameters, by the detection server, to identify one or more risk findings. The remediation management framework receives the identified one more risk findings; and matches each of the one or more risk findings with the plurality of configuration parameters, which then triggers by the remediation management framework, the corresponding automated remediation action associated with each of the one or more risk findings.
