  • Publication number: 20260138896
Abstract: An underwater sound generation device may be used for effective control of algae and other microorganisms. The sound projector may comprise a thermoacoustic sound transducer and an electronic unit for controlling the operation of the projector. In at least one embodiment, the thermoacoustic projector includes a freestanding carbon nanotube (CNT) film encapsulated between two vibrating plates. The gas filled thin acoustical cavity provides a piston-type displacement of the plates and supports a high-temperature operation. A power supply driver, controlling the operation of the sound radiating system, may include a pulse generator, high-power switch amplifier, and a cable, connecting the projector with an electronic driver. The sound control system may provide an omnidirectional sound pressure level in a wide frequency range to affect the algae growth ecosystem over large distances.

  • Patent number: 12621639
Abstract: Technologies disclosed herein are directed to enforcing blocking functionality on a mobile device (e.g., a mobile device within a vehicle). The mobile device receives a request to disable a blocking of a user interaction with one or more functions of the mobile device. The mobile device prompts a capture of an image by a camera of the mobile device. The mobile device determines whether the image is captured from a passenger space in the vehicle. Once so determined, the mobile device disables the blocking of the user interaction with the one or more functions of the mobile device.

Abstract: An underwater sound generation device may be used for effective control of algae and other microorganisms in ponds and lakes. The sound projector may comprise a thermoacoustic sound transducer and an electronic unit for controlling the operation of the projector. The thermoacoustic projector may include a freestanding carbon nanotube (CNT) film encapsulated between two vibrating plates. The inert gas filled thin acoustical cavity provides a piston-type displacement of the plates and supports a high-temperature operation. • Publication number: 20250226136
Abstract: Described herein are concepts, system and techniques which provide a means to construct robust high-field superconducting magnets using simple fabrication techniques and modular components that scale well toward commercialization. The resulting magnet assembly—which utilizes non-insulated, high temperature superconducting tapes (HTS) and provides for optimized coolant pathways—is inherently strong structurally, which enables maximum utilization of the high magnetic fields available with HTS technology. In addition, the concepts described herein provide for control of quench-induced current distributions within the tape stack and surrounding superstructure to safely dissipate quench energy, while at the same time obtaining acceptable magnet charge time. The net result is a structurally and thermally robust, high-field magnet assembly that is passively protected against quench fault conditions.

  • Publication number: 20240147350
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for managing predetermined functions on a mobile device, the operating system (OS) installed on the device including an event application programming interface (API) configured to enable voice over internet protocol (VoIP) applications to assume priority over other applications and functions of the mobile device when VoIP calls are detected. A mobile device management software application installed and running on the mobile device emulates a VoIP software application and uses event API calls to trick the OS into believing that a VoIP call has been detected and, in response, causes the OS to block or interfere with one or more predetermined functions on the mobile device based on the status and location of the mobile device.
