  • Patent number: 12380882
Abstract: A speech processing system includes an input for receiving an input utterance spoken by a user and a word alignment unit configured to align different sequences of acoustic speech models with the input utterance spoken by the user. Each different sequence of acoustic speech models corresponds to a different possible utterance that a user might make. The system identifies any parts of a read prompt text that the user skipped; any parts of the read prompt text that the user repeated; and any speech sounds that the user inserted between words of the read prompt text. The information from the word alignment unit can be used to assess the proficiency and/or fluency of the user's speech.

  • Patent number: 12379668
Abstract: Methods and systems for measuring physical properties of a specimen by iterative solution of an optimization function including both current and prior measurement information are described herein. In one aspect, a Maximum A Posteriori (MAP) estimation approach is employed to integrate prior measurement information with current measurement information in the optimization function. In some examples, prior measurement information associated with the measurement of a semiconductor structure is available from a number of exogenous sources. In a further aspect, prior measurement information includes current measurements of a semiconductor structure under measurement as part of a multiple pass measurement. Prior statistics are determined based on an initial set of values of parameters of interest. The prior statistics are included in a subsequent MAP analysis of the same measurement data set employed in a first measurement pass.

  • Patent number: 12379482
Abstract: A drone detection, identification and location system and method may illuminate a target with one or multiple selected radio-frequency (RF) carrier frequencies. Both direct emissions received from the target and re-emissions generated by the target may be processed to determine whether the target is a drone. The re-emissions may be generated by circuitry of the target resulting from the illumination with the one or multiple RF carrier frequencies. The re-emissions may comprise cross-modulation products (CMPs) including forced non-linear emissions (FNLEs). The direct emissions and the re-emissions may be processed to generate an RF signature for the target. The target may be determined to be drone and the type of drone may be identified based on the RF signature.

  • Patent number: 12379285
Abstract: A machine includes an engine that includes a plurality of cylinders, one or more controllers, and a monitoring and reporting module. The monitoring and reporting module receives, from the one or more controllers, and via a first data link of the machine, cylinder pressure data associated with the plurality of cylinders and stores the cylinder pressure data in a data structure. The monitoring and reporting module receives, from the one or more controllers, and via a second data link of the machine, operational information associated with the engine and determines, based on the operational information, that one or more trigger criteria are satisfied. The monitoring and reporting module generates, based on determining that the one or more trigger criteria are satisfied, a data file that includes a portion of the cylinder pressure data and transmits the data file to a device not included in the machine.
