  • Publication number: 20040164458
Abstract: An injection molded component includes a plurality of integrally formed push pins that provide a simplified attachment interface for attaching the component to a vehicle structure. The injection molded component includes a base housing component with an upper and lower surfaces. Each pin extends out from the lower surface of the base housing component to a distal end. A plurality of radially extending flanges is formed about the circumference of the distal end. The flanges are spaced apart from one another and form a retention feature that is inserted into an appropriate vehicle structural component to secure the base housing component to the vehicle. The formation of flanges on the pins eliminates the need for additional injection mold tooling actions to further form the attachment interface.

  • Patent number: 6619264
Abstract: A fuel rail is formed by a lost core process. The core is formed of metal, and then over-molded with plastic. The plastic over-molded metal core is immersed in a hot bath of glycolitin oil. The metal core melts, leaving the plastic overmold fuel rail. • Patent number: 6538651
Abstract: A parametric geometric element definition and generation system and method is described herein. 3D model of geometric objects are generated by execution of one or more directed acyclic graphs having a plurality of nodes which represent various modeling operations and parameters or properties used in defining and generating geometric elements. In further embodiments, an object player monitors modeling operations of nodes and communications with the rendering system to dynamically adapt the performance and format of the rendering system. A notification mechanism is used where nodes may send and/or listen for change events. A modification to one or more properties of node or nodes may trigger the transmission of a change event throughout the directed graph.

  • Publication number: 20030008807
Abstract: This invention pertains to the discovery of a novel pathway that mediates hyperalgesia, neuropathic pain, and inflammatory pain. This pathway is a third independent pathway that involves activation of extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs) 1 and 2. The pathway comprises a Ras-MEK-ERK1/2 cascade that acts independent of PKA or PKC&egr; as a novel signaling pathway for the production of inflammatory (and neuropathic) pain. This pathway presents numerous targets for a new class of analgesic agents.

  • Publication number: 20020141513
Abstract: A multi-panel phased array antenna architecture and signal processing subsystem combines baseband outputs of multiple carrier demodulators associated with respective phased array panels prior to bit-decision processing at baseband for data and clock recovery. The baseband bit decisions are fed back to control the operation of the carrier recovery loops of the demodulators. This improves the signal-to-noise ratio in the carrier recovery loops and allows near theoretical system operation at lower signal-to-noise ratios than would otherwise be achievable.
