  • Publication number: 20250019157
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for disposing of refuse are disclosed. A refuse container may comprise a housing, a lid, an actuator, odor-blocking doors, a base, and an automatic door subassembly. The odor-blocking doors may mount to the housing and the lid may hingedly attach to the housing. The actuator may operatively couple to the base and the automatic door subassembly. Actuating the actuator may move the automatic door subassembly from a first position to a second position to open the lid. A user may place the refuse on the odor-blocking doors. The automatic door subassembly may then move from the second position to a third position to close the lid, from the third position to a fourth position to open the odor-blocking doors such that the refuse drops through the odor-blocking doors, and from the fourth position back to the first position to close the odor-blocking doors.

  • Publication number: 20240360600
Abstract: A fabric or lattice for locating a damage, including a puncture, includes one or more layers and a continuity tester. Each of the layers includes conductive filaments and insulating filaments. The conductive filaments are spaced apart within each layer of the fabric. The insulating filaments are distributed across the conductive filaments within each layer of the fabric. The insulating filaments adhere the conductive filaments together to form each layer of the fabric, yet separate the conductive filaments and electrically insulate the conductive filaments from each other. The continuity tester checks for an electrical continuity through each of the conductive filaments of each of the layers. The continuity tester identifies any one or ones of the conductive filaments exhibiting a loss of the electrical continuity due to the damage.

  • Publication number: 20240342510
Abstract: A headset apparatus for a subject has an ultrasound transducer mounted within an earpiece of the headset, wherein the ultrasound transducer is configured to nest against an ear of the subject. A headband is coupled to the earpiece and is configured to extend across a parietal region of the head and to provide flexure that exerts a force for urging the ultrasound transducer against a pinna surface of the subject's ear. An alignment projection extending from the earpiece is configured as an alignment feature for positioning the ultrasound transducer against the pinna surface when the alignment projection is seated within the opening of an ear canal of the subject. The transducer and alignment projection are in fixed positions relative to each other within the earpiece.

  • Publication number: 20230419600
Abstract: Example embodiments relate to techniques for volumetric performance capture with neural rendering. A technique may involve initially obtaining images that depict a subject from multiple viewpoints and under various lighting conditions using a light stage and depth data corresponding to the subject using infrared cameras. A neural network may extract features of the subject from the images based on the depth data and map the features into a texture space (e.g., the UV texture space). A neural renderer can be used to generate an output image depicting the subject from a target view such that illumination of the subject in the output image aligns with the target view. The neural render may resample the features of the subject from the texture space to an image space to generate the output image.
