  • Publication number: 20140014047
Abstract: A continuous flow heater that mitigates the effect of altitude, characterized in that it consists of a combustion system with four mixers attached to a rectangular base into which the gas is injected and distributed through fifty small cavities is provided. The combustion system is attached to a heat transfer system. The continuous flow heater that mitigates the effect of altitude is suitable for altitudes greater than 2000 meters above the sea level without notable reductions in power or significant increases in polluting and toxic emissions. The combustion system has better air draft than conventional systems, enabling it to mitigate the reduction in the quantity of oxygen in the air at higher altitudes, improving the operation of the equipment compared to the operation of equipment already available on the market, and making a better use of non-renewable natural resources.

  • Publication number: 20130301405
Abstract: A Spontaneous Area Network (SPAN) is formed by mobile and fixed nodes using wireless transmission links between nodes, usually in a nearby geographical area. Applications allow users to create, join, leave, and manage SPANs and groups in a SPAN. Automatic procedures allow nodes to join other SPANs. Transmission power of the wireless network interface is dynamic, varying depending on battery level, type of information to transmit, state and topology of the network. A delay tolerant object layer abstraction creates, modifies, deletes, publishes, and handles Delay Tolerant Distributed Objects (DTDOs). A Patient Transport Protocol (PTP) ensures a reliable transport of information through the network while avoiding congestion conditions. An aggressive and explosive network protocol (AGENET) has routing and forwarding capacities and uses datagrams to establish communication between different nodes of the SPAN.

  • Publication number: 20130296558
Abstract: It comprises a preparation process of entecavir comprising: submitting a (1S,3R)-3-(tert-butyldimethylsilyloxy)-1-(oxiran-2-yl)pent-4-yn-1-ol (VIII) to a double esterification and to a radicalary cyclization, yielding a compound of formula (V), where either a compound of formula (VIII) is submitted to a first esterification reaction, then to a catalytic radicalary cyclization using titanocene dichloride as catalyst in the presence of Mn/2,4,6-collidine HCl or Zn/2,4,6-collidine/trimethylsilyl chloride, and finally to a second esterification reaction or, alternatively, the compound of formula (VIII) is submitted first to a catalytic radicalary cyclization, and then to an esterification reaction. Entecavir can be obtained by submitting compound (V) to a desilylation reaction to remove the TBS group and then to a Mitsunobu coupling with 2-amino-6-chloroguanine, followed by hydrolysis. It also relates to some new intermediates of the process.

  • Publication number: 20130003787
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an apparatus and method of testing timing associated with the transmission and reception of a pulse signal. With regard to testing the transmission of the signal, a transmitter transmits a pulse within a selected hop offset subinterval of a hop interval. The receiver takes samples of the received signal for the entire duration of the hop interval. Successful timing operation is indicated when samples indicate a pulse received within the selected subinterval, and no pulses received within other subintervals of the hop interval. With regard to testing the reception of the signal, a transmitter transmits pulses within respective hop offset subintervals of a hop interval. The receiver is enabled only for the duration of a selected subinterval, but samples are taken for the entire duration of the hop interval. Successful timing operation is indicated when the samples indicate a pulse received within the selected subinterval, and no pulses received within other subintervals.
