Publication number: 20180272108Abstract: A catheter with a variable circular loop is responsive to a contraction wire for increasing the coiling of the circular loop. The shape of the loop is supported by an elongated member, wherein a radially constrictive sleeve confines the contraction wire to extends immediately alongside the length of elongated member so as to improve uniformity and minimize misshaping of the loop during contraction.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 27, 2017Publication date: September 27, 2018Inventors: Ricardo Padilla, Homero Padilla, Julie Bui, Mario Solis, Thomas Selkee, Jose Jimenez, Keshava Datta, Fernando Salazar

Publication number: 20180262220Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) control circuit is provided. The RF control circuit includes power amplifier (PA) circuitry for amplifying an RF signal and control circuitry configured to improve linearity of the PA circuitry based on a PA signature(s) already available and utilized to perform digital pre-distortion (DPD) in the RF control circuit. In examples discussed herein, the control circuitry determines a performance deviation of the PA circuitry based on the PA signature and continuously adjusts a bias voltage(s) supplied to the PA circuitry until the performance deviation is reduced to a predetermined performance deviation threshold. By continuously monitoring the performance deviation based on the PA signature(s) and adjusting the bias voltage(s), the control circuitry can detect and correct an operation abnormality of the PA circuitry in a timely manner. As a result, it is possible to maintain linearity in the PA circuitry for enhanced PA performance.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2018Publication date: September 13, 2018Inventors: Jose Jimenez, Bror Peterson, Jeffrey Gengler

Publication number: 20180206914Abstract: A catheter has a distal assembly with at least one loop with ring electrodes. A single continuous puller wire for bidirectional deflection is pre-bent into two long portions and a U-shape bend therebetween. The U-shape bend is anchored at a distal end of a deflectable section which is reinforced by at least one washer having at least two holes, each hole axially aligned with a respective lumen in the deflectable section. Each hole is centered with a lumen so that each puller wire portion therethrough is straight and subjected to tensile force only. A proximal end of the support member is flattened and serrated to provide a better bonding to the distal end of the deflectable section.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2018Publication date: July 26, 2018Inventors: Julie BUI, Oscar GALVAN, Jose JIMENEZ, Thanh NGUYEN, Ricardo PADILLA, Thomas V. Patent number: 9974927Abstract: A catheter has a deflection beam with rectangular cross-section and a single continuous puller wire for predictable on-plane bi-directional deflection. The puller wire extends through spacers on opposite sides of the beam so the puller wire is maintained a predetermined separation distance from the beam surface. Tubular structures of the catheter body and the deflectable section are fused at a joint by C-shaped brackets mounted opposite surface of the beam to form a hollow body with holes into which thermoplastic materials covering the catheter body and the deflectable section can melt to form interlocking nodes. Elongated beam stiffeners can be mounted on the beam to provide different curve and deflection geometries.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2016Date of Patent: May 22, 2018Assignee: BIOSENSE WEBSTER (ISRAEL) LTD.Inventors: Jose Jimenez, Ricardo Padilla, Thomas V. Patent number: 9849268Abstract: A catheter has a metal deflection beam with rectangular cross-section and one or two fiber puller members for predictable on-plane bi-directional deflection. Each fiber puller member is anchored at its distal end to a respective surface of the beam by a metal ferrule that is crimped onto the distal end. The ferrule is shaped to provide a flat outer underside that can lie flat against a beam surface and a thin planar distal section that is welded to the beam. With a distal end of the beam sandwiched between the thin planar distal section of two ferrules, the ferrules and the beam can be welded together by a single laser pulse.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2013Date of Patent: December 26, 2017Assignee: BIOSENSE WEBSTER (ISRAEL), LTD.Inventor: Jose Jimenez

Publication number: 20170101612Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of fermentation. In particular, the present invention relates to a method and apparatus for production of products by use of living cells or active components derived from such cells using a bioreactor having a built in gas distributor and a specific system/device for handling foam formed in the process. The invention also relates to a bioreactor comprising: a reaction chamber having a fermentation zone and a foam settling zone, wherein the reaction chamber is arranged such that the foam settling zone is spaced from or physically separated from the fermentation zone so as to reduce the effect of activity in the fermentation zone on foam in the settling zone. The separation of the fermentation zone from the activity of the fermentation zone encourages settling of the foam.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 2, 2015Publication date: April 13, 2017Applicant: ACD Pharmaceuticals ASInventors: Hans Petter Kleppen, Eirik Bardsen, Juan Jose Jimenez Martinez
