  • Publication number: 20230377815
Abstract: An improved small form factor controller includes a tactile input surface with a predetermined pattern of input regions. The pattern of input regions may be illuminated by the controller, and preferably would be generally imperceptible in the absence of illumination. The tactile input surface includes an array of regions that can be correlated with particular input regions on an illumination pattern. The tactile input surface includes an array of regions that can be correlated with particular input regions on an illumination pattern. A processor monitors for tactile input from the user and converts a motion pattern performed by the user to a sequence of corresponding activations, which is compared with stored user codes.

  • Publication number: 20230337965
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein that generally involve measuring a prostate or other object. In some embodiments, a finger clip having a roller ring or wheel rotatably mounted thereto is disposed within an inflatable membrane. The roller ring can include a measurement pattern positioned opposite to optical fibers configured to receive light reflected from the measurement pattern. A user can put on the finger clip, position the membrane in proximity to a rectal wall overlying a prostate, and inflate the membrane. As the user slides their finger across the inside of the membrane, which is pressed against the rectal wall, the roller ring can rotate with respect to the fibers such that the fibers move relative to the measurement pattern. A controller can sense light reflected through the fibers from the reference pattern and calculate or estimate various attributes of the prostate based on the reflected light.

  • Publication number: 20230255415
Abstract: A single-handed toilet paper dispenser that provides two spool pins that snugly engage the inner circumferential walls of the lumen of a toilet roll, one spool pin at each end thereof. The snug engagement provides a preselected frictional force between the portions of the inner circumferential walls engaging the spool pins so that a user may pull on the distal end of the toilet paper roll and rotate the entire roll to its end, yet if the same user tugs at the same location with more force, one or more toilet paper sheets tear off at an upstream perforation.

  • Patent number: 11645212
Abstract: Processing elements include interfaces that allow direct access to memory banks on one or more DRAMs in an integrated circuit stack. These additional (e.g., per processing element) direct interfaces may allow the processing elements to have direct access to the data in the DRAM stack. Based on the size/type of operands being processed, and the memory bandwidth of the direct interfaces, rate calculation circuitry on the processor die determines the speed each processing element and/or processing nodes within each processing element are operated.

  • Publication number: 20230139072
Abstract: A map database stores data describing a set of connected roads each having one or more lanes, each having one or more lanes. The map database further stores data describing at an avoidance area comprising an area in the map database that an autonomous vehicle (AV) avoids traversing. A routability system determines at least one lane that can be accessed by the AV if the AV traverses the avoidance area, and generates a restored coverage area corresponding to the at least one lane. The restored coverage area corresponds to an area of restored coverage provided by the AV traversing the avoidance area. The routability system computes a score based on the restored coverage area, the score indicating an impact of restoring access by the AV to the avoidance area.
