  • Publication number: 20180245734
Abstract: An attachment and securement system that allows an item to be secured onto a surface or a structure, and to be selectively positioned. The system consists of a first assembly with a magnet and an interface, and a second assembly with a screw actuated clamp and a post that terminates at a circular metal head. The first assembly is attached to an item such as a mobile communication device, a computing device, apparel, or an apparel accessory. The item with the attached first assembly is then placed in contact with and magnetically adhered to the second assembly, which is attached to a surface or structure. The magnet secures the item to the second assembly, and the circular design of the metal head allows the head to rotate about the magnet, allowing the item to be selectively positioned.

  • Publication number: 20180088289
Abstract: A process and tool for reshaping and resizing grooves that were pre-formed in a pair of ferrules halves of an optical fiber ferrule. The pre-formed grooves are further subject to a separate, subsequent reshaping and resizing step using the tool and a gauge that may be a bare section of optical fiber or a pin. The ferrule halves are aligned, and using the pre-formed grooves as guides for the gauge optical fiber or gauge pin, the ferrule halves are compressed together with the gauge optical fiber or gauge pin therebetween, thereby reshaping and resizing the respective grooves on the ferrule halves. After reshaping and resizing, the resultant groove that is finally formed on each ferrule halve would be precisely shaped, sized and located with respect to the external alignment surface of each ferrule halve. The ferrule halves may be used to terminate an optical fiber cable.

  • Publication number: 20170290474
Abstract: A toilet seat and toilet lid assembly is provided which prevents bodily waste from undesirably exiting flushing toilets and contaminating surrounding areas and surfaces. More particularly, the assembly comprises an annular toilet seat and a lid, hingedly attached to the seat. An underside of the lid is configured to closely mate with the opening formed in the seat. Prior to flushing a toilet, a user may pivotally close the assembly, which may be secured over a toilet bowl. When closed, a male protrusion in the lid may be closely mated with the opening in the seat to prevent contaminants within the toilet bowl from exiting such bowl when activating the toilet's flushing capability agitates water and waste contained therein.

  • Patent number: 9747602
Abstract: There is provided a method of registering advertisements for display on an electronic map through the use of an advertisement registration server. The advertisement registration server receives an access request from a terminal via the network. The server then searches a map information database for predetermined map information and transmits searched map information to the terminal. The predetermined map information is associated with center coordinates and a scale value. Further, the predetermined map information is structured into a lattice having a plurality of lattice units. From the terminal, the server receives an advertisement contents registration request having advertisement information identifying one or more of the plurality of lattice units. The server registers in an advertisement database the advertisement information in association with the one or more lattice units identified in the registration request, and the center coordinates and the scale value of the predetermined map information.

  • Patent number: 8493052
Abstract: The primary of a transformer is driven at low voltages to provide high-voltage dynamic drive from the secondary to a load. A high-current source is placed in series with both the transformer secondary and load. At least secondary inductance of the transformer, hence impedance, is controlled through core saturation to transition secondary output to the load between high-voltage dynamic drive inductively coupled from the primary, and high-current drive serially connected through the secondary. Switching between high voltage and high current output is accomplished through the transformer; no additional switching devices need exist in the high-voltage path. Broad voltage and current capabilities of the configuration inexpensively improve transient drive of highly reactive loads.
