Abstract: Automated spatial feature engineering techniques may include (1) automatically deriving new features (e.g., spatial lags) based on spatial relationships between or among observations, (2) using parameter optimization techniques to optimize parameters of the spatial feature engineering process (e.g., parameters relating to the size of spatial neighborhoods and/or to the orders of spatial lags), (3) automatically deriving new spatial features representing geometric properties and/or spatial statistics associated with individual spatial observations, (4) determining the feature importance of location features, and/or (5) automatically partitioning spatial datasets such that spatial leakage is reduced, which generally leads to the development of more accurate spatial models. Such techniques may involve joint treatment of distinct location coordinate features as a single location feature for purposes of determining feature importance.

Abstract: This invention is a novel retroreflective traffic stripe comprising a widely spaced repeating pattern of linear light turning prisms over cube corner retroreflective prisms in a critical optimal configuration. The light turning prisms comprise at least two exposed surfaces, one approximately vertical facing the headlights of oncoming traffic, and another opposing the first and sloped by approximately 45 degrees. The approximately vertical surface efficiently accepts light from the headlights and transmits such light to the sloped surface which totally internally reflects such light downward onto an array of cube corner retroreflective prisms, which totally internally reflect such light in approximately the reverse direction.

Abstract: Systems and methods for multi-modal, multi-resolution deep learning neural networks for segmentation, outcomes prediction and longitudinal response monitoring to immunotherapy and radiotherapy are detailed herein. A structure-specific Generational Adversarial Network (SSGAN) is used to synthesize realistic and structure-preserving images not produced using state-of-the art GANs and simultaneously incorporate constraints to produce synthetic images. A deeply supervised, Multi-modality, Multi-Resolution Residual Networks (DeepMMRRN) for tumor and organs-at-risk (OAR) segmentation may be used for tumor and OAR segmentation. The DeepMMRRN may combine multiple modalities for tumor and OAR segmentation. Accurate segmentation is may be realized by maximizing network capacity by simultaneously using features at multiple scales and resolutions and feature selection through deep supervision. DeepMMRRN Radiomics may be used for predicting and longitudinal monitoring response to immunotherapy.

Abstract: The invention provides a method and system for providing financial details from a mobile device of a user for use in a transaction. The method is performed on a mobile device of the user and includes the steps of generating, on a token generating component, a session-specific token by applying an algorithm requiring a dynamic key; providing financial details for use in a transaction; incorporating the session-specific token and the financial details into a modified form the financial details; and transferring the modified form of the financial details from the mobile device to initiate the transaction. A corresponding method and system for validating financial details received, at a server of an issuing authority, is also provided.

Abstract: Methods for creating personalized hand hygiene compliance protocols and for tracking hand hygiene compliance is disclosed herein. An exemplary method for creating personalized hand hygiene compliance protocols and for tracking hand hygiene compliance includes providing a plurality of dispensers, wherein the dispensers contain one of soap or sanitizer. The methodology further includes retrieving patient profile information from a patient profile database that relates to a patient and creating a personalized hand-hygiene compliance protocol for the patient as a function of the patient profile information. The hand-hygiene compliance protocol includes at least two conditions that require the patient to wash her hands with soap or sanitizer. The methodology further includes determining if a dispense from one of the plurality of dispensers was caused by the patient, logging the dispense from one of the plurality of dispensers and associating the dispense to the patient if the dispense was caused by the patient.

Abstract: Virtual reality devices bring a new type of advertisement preference input command data. The data comes from a source of having your eyes at least partially viewing the sight of a virtual experience. For this reason, and many more, it is very important that this new generation of devices, as they exist and develop, control the advertisements the virtual reality device owners see and react to in the awe struck environment of something new. In order to do this, they will need many different ways to send commands at different points and complexities of advertisements, especially to enjoy the experience of this new device that would otherwise be lost in advertisements that have no ability to coexist without the participants giving orders of what they want to see.

Abstract: System and method for establishing simultaneous zones of control for various communications to and from a computing devices based on specific criteria corresponding to more than one zone of control encompassing similarly-situated network locations. A browser (or any other common term for a networked computing session GUI) executing on a computing device may establish several zones of restricted data interaction based on specific user-defined criteria, thereby establishing simultaneous zones that respectively correspond to one or more specific parameters with regard to networked computer interactions. For example, a first zone may be associated with only other computers located in the United States (as determined by DNS records and the like) and a second zone may be associated with only other computers located with a specific domain (e.g., www.mybusiness.com).

Abstract: System and method for extending zones of control through a hotspot for communications to and from computing devices based on specific criteria corresponding to zones of control. An encrypted virtual private network (VPN) for a browsing session may be established at a first computing device and remote server computers matching the parameters of the established zone. Then, a user of the first computing device may further establish a wireless hotspot network suited to allow additional remote computing devices to piggy-back on the one or more established encrypted virtual private networks. Thus, other connected devices using the hotspot connection to reach a broader computer network (e.g., the Internet) are then also taking advantage of the encrypted VPN being provided by the host of the hotspot. Each connected computing device may then also have various communications isolated through zonal control from the hotspot device.

The total area of ILED emitter material be less than 50% of the area of each pixel. The image generator may comprise secondary optics in optical communication with an output of the plurality of ILED emitters of an ILED array chip and configured to direct light from the ILED emitters towards an emission region of the associated pixel.

Abstract: A system and method to facilitate word-of-mouth advertising and sales support associated with displayed media objects on distributed networks is described. The system provides one or more advocates to a network user accessing advertising of a brand, product, or service. One or more of the advocates may be socially related to the user. User interactions with the advocates are facilitated through a real-time communication network, follow-on commercial activity is tracked, and the value of word-of-mouth advocacy is captured and distributed.

Abstract: The invention is that of a system and method of generating an individual compliance score based on one or more background checks that is useful in determining the compliance levels of service providers based on selected criteria. The individual compliance scores are the result of a matrix comparison of a background check score against industry standards to provide greater weight to areas of specific interest depending on the industry. An application program interface may be installed on a user system to allow individual compliance scores and corresponding unique identifiers to be visible to users of the system. Access and security controls are provided, with users being in network communication with the system. The methods enabled by the system allow for rapid real-time service provider qualification without the need for time consuming background audits. A system of the present invention may be presented as a feature of an existing mobile application.

The lock may be movable between locked and unlocked positions and in the locked position may be configured to inhibit movement of the push button from the latched to the unlatched position.

Abstract: A retroreflective traffic stripe comprising an exposed top surface containing a widely spaced repeating pattern of linear light-turning prisms over a bottom surface containing two different types of cube corner retroreflective prisms. The light-turning prisms are configured to use refraction and reflection to redirect light from distant headlights into a downward direction onto the bottom surface of the traffic stripe. Cube corner retroreflective prisms of the first type on the bottom surface have optical axes which are substantially perpendicular to the surfaces of the traffic stripe and are located substantially beneath such light-turning prisms. Cube corner retroreflective prisms of the second type on the bottom surface have optical axes tilted toward the distant headlights by at least 25 degrees and are located substantially between such light-turning prisms. Under dry road conditions, the light-turning prisms and first type of cube corner prisms provide unprecedented levels of retroreflectivity.

Abstract: A system and method for establishing zones of control for communications among computing devices. Zones of control refer to the concept of unique user-controlled silos separating the interactions between computer devices over the network. When the user of a device connects to a networked computing environment of any kind, at least some data may be sent from the user's device onto the network, as well as downloaded to the user's device. These “data interactions” are usually frequent and numerous. With a private encrypted browsing session established, communications within an established zone of control may be isolated from all other communications and vice versa.

Abstract: Techniques for minimizing data flow from a first computing infrastructure hosting an email service platform to a second computing infrastructure at least partly hosting an email security platform that provides security analysis on emails of the email service. The email security platform may extract metadata from emails received at the first computing infrastructure, and send that metadata to the second computing infrastructure that is hosting a back end of the email service platform. The metadata extracted from the emails may include less confidential contained in an email, but enough information for the email security platform to determine whether an email is potentially malicious. Thus, the security analysis performed on emails to detect malicious attacks may be offloaded to the second computing infrastructure, but the metadata that leaves the first computing infrastructure and flows to the second computing infrastructure may be minimized by extracting meaningful metadata.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for depleting host nucleic acid in a biological sample, said sample having been previously obtained from an animal host and having been subjected to treatment to lyse host cells present in the sample, and having been subjected to a treatment to deplete nucleic acid released from host cells within said sample or otherwise to render such nucleic acid unidentifiable, the method comprising: (a) depleting host mitochondria or host mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) present in the treated sample; and (b) extracting and/or analysing remaining nucleic acid from the treated sample. Also provided is a related kit comprising reagents for performing the method. Further claimed is a method for isolating mitochondrial DNA after host cells have been lysed and host cell nucleic acids have been removed from the sample.

Abstract: Systems and methods for improved radiation treatment planning can employ hierarchical constrained optimization with relaxed constraints also referred to herein after as expedited hierarchical constrained optimization (ECHO). The systems and methods described herein employ a combination of constrained optimization and a correction loop involving unconstrained optimization to enhance the speed and efficiency of the radiation treatment planning process and improve the accuracy and quality of resulting radiation treatment plans. The use of a hierarchical constrained optimization approach leads to less complex and faster to solve optimization problems. The correction loop allows for compensating for optimization error associated with the sequence of constrained optimizations by incorporating such error in an unconstrained optimization. Hard and soft dose volume constraints can be efficiently incorporated.
