  • Patent number: 11736944
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for providing access to wireless networks may include receiving, by a wireless network access provider from a user device, a request to access a wireless network. The method may include obtaining data representing a policy applicable to the access request, sending the access request, augmented with the policy, to an identity provider associated with the user and having no pre-existing relationship with the access provider, and receiving, from the identity provider, an access request response indicating whether or not the policy is met. The method may include communicating, to the wireless device, an indication that the access request has been accepted, if the policy is met, or an indication that the access request has been rejected, if the policy is not met. The access provider and identity provider may be members of an identity and access federation that communicate over a dynamically established secure connection.

  • Patent number: 11731390
Abstract: A thermoplastic film which exhibits elastic-like behavior along at least one axis when stretched or elongated and then released. The thermoplastic film comprises a plurality of raised rib-like elements extending in a direction perpendicular to a main surface of the thermoplastic film. The thermoplastic film further includes a plurality of web areas positioned about the plurality of raised rib-like elements. The plurality of raised rib-like elements and plurality of web areas are arranged in a complex pattern. The complex pattern provides visual and tactile cues as the films are stretched or elongated. The complex pattern can cause the thermoplastic film to have a complex stretch profile.

  • Publication number: 20230247010
Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium, and method for secure network communication. A first device employs a first secret to establish a stream between the first and a second device. A third key, first ciphertext based on a first key, and hash of the first key are received from the second device by the first. A second key is applied to recover a second secret from the first ciphertext. The third key is encrypted to generate a second ciphertext including a third secret. Fourth and fifth keys are derived based on the first, second, and third secrets. A message authentication code is generated based on the fourth and third keys, first ciphertext, hash of the first key, and second ciphertext. The second ciphertext and message authentication code are transmitted by the first to the second device, and the fifth key is employed by the first device to modify the stream.

  • Patent number: 11677758
Abstract: Techniques for minimizing data flow from a first computing infrastructure hosting an email service platform to a second computing infrastructure at least partly hosting an email security platform that provides security analysis on emails of the email service. The email security platform may extract metadata from emails received at the first computing infrastructure, and send that metadata to the second computing infrastructure that is hosting a back end of the email service platform. The metadata extracted from the emails may include less confidential contained in an email, but enough information for the email security platform to determine whether an email is potentially malicious. Thus, the security analysis performed on emails to detect malicious attacks may be offloaded to the second computing infrastructure, but the metadata that leaves the first computing infrastructure and flows to the second computing infrastructure may be minimized by extracting meaningful metadata.

  • Publication number: 20230170257
Abstract: A method of dicing a wafer includes positioning the wafer with its top side on a tape material. The wafer includes a plurality of die separated by scribe streets. A first pass being a first infrared (IR) laser beam is directed at the bottom side with a point of entry within the scribe streets. The first IR laser beam is focused with a focus point embedded within a thickness of the wafer, and has parameters selected to form an embedded crack line within the wafer. The embedded crack line does not reach the top side surface. A second pass being a second IR laser beam is directed at the bottom side having parameters selected to form a second crack line that that has a spacing relative to the embedded crack line, and the second IR laser beam causes the embedded crack line to be extended to the top side surface.

  • Patent number: 11596797
Abstract: Stimulation of nervous system components by electrodes can be used in many applications, including in the operation of brain-machine interfaces, bidirectional neural interfaces, and neuroprosthetics. The optimal operation of such systems requires a means of accurately measuring neural responses to such stimulations. However, currently the measurement of neural responses is difficult due to heavy stimulation artifacts arising from stimulatory pulses. The invention encompasses novel methods of estimating stimulation artifacts in measurements attained by recording electrodes and the effective removal of these artifacts. This provides improved neural recording systems and enables the deployment of closed-loop neural stimulation systems.

  • Patent number: 11578002
Abstract: Ceramic slurries may include ceramic particles, a photoreactive-photostable hybrid binder, and a photoinitiator. The photoreactive-photostable hybrid binder may include a photoreactive organic resin component, a photoreactive siloxane component, and one or more photostable siloxane components. Methods of forming a ceramic part may include curing a portion of a ceramic slurry by exposing the portion of the ceramic slurry to light to form a green ceramic part, and partially firing the green ceramic part to form a brown ceramic part. The brown ceramic part may be sintered at or above a sintering temperature of the ceramic particles to form a ceramic part, wherein sintering includes heating the brown ceramic part to a sufficient temperature to promote reaction bonding that converts silica from the photoreactive-photostable hybrid binder into silicates that bond with the ceramic particles.

  • Patent number: 11580541
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed in an electronic payment network, for associating a payment card of a cardholder with a personal computing device of the cardholder, then authenticating the payment card in electronic transactions processed in the network. The card and a device activation code are input to the cardholder device by the cardholder, then communicated sent to a remote server for obtaining a card token. The server generates a device token and an authorisation token, stores the generated tokens together with the card token, and sends the card and device tokens to the cardholder device for storage. Whenever a transaction is processed in the network, the payment card is authenticated by inputting authenticating data to the cardholder device for generating an authorisation token, which is sent to the server with the stored card and device tokens, for a matching operation against the card, device and authorisation tokens at the server.

  • Publication number: 20230034500
Abstract: The present technology is directed to providing enhanced capacity for tenants in a neutral host network (NHN) via multi-connectivity such as dual connectivity or carrier aggregation. The present technology can identify, at a small cell gateway, signaling traffic passing from an access network to a respective core network of an NHN operating at mid-band frequencies and add an interface between the small cell gateway of the NHN and a base station of a tenant network operating at low-band frequencies to establish dual connectivity. Furthermore, the present technology can establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection in a primary cell residing in a macro network operating at low-band frequencies and add, at a fronthaul gateway, one or more secondary cells in a small cell network operating at mid-band frequencies to enable carrier aggregation of the one or more secondary cells with the primary cell the small cell network.
