  • Publication number: 20250204909
Abstract: An orthopedic implant includes a bridge having a central axis. In addition, the orthopedic implant includes a plurality of torsion regions coupled to the bridge. Each torsion region has a longitudinal axis. Further, the orthopedic implant includes a plurality of legs. Each leg is coupled to and extends from one of the plurality of torsion regions. Each leg is configured to rotate about the longitudinal axis of the corresponding torsion region between a first position and a second position that is angularly displaced relative to the first position about the longitudinal axis of the corresponding torsion region to induce an elastic torsional stress in the corresponding torsion region. Each leg is biased from the second position toward the first position by the elastic torsional stress in the corresponding torsion region when the leg is in the second position.

  • Publication number: 20250109498
Abstract: Typical chemical vapor deposition (CVD) systems are unable to analyze a sample during CVD fabrication. A system and method for performing material deposition and in-situ analysis of a sample during CVD synthesis is described. The system includes a deposition chamber having an outer chamber wall surrounding a chamber volume and an inner sleeve disposed inside of the chamber volume with a buffer region between the outer chamber wall and the inner sleeve. A sample mount is disposed in the deposition volume to support a position and orientation of a sample in the deposition volume during CVD. Gas inlets and gas outlets are in fluid communication with the deposition chamber to respectively allow fluid to flow into, and out of, the deposition chamber. A thermal radiation source provides thermal radiation along a deposition axis to the sample disposed in the deposition volume.

  • Patent number: 12245612
Abstract: A dessert holder that enables a consumer to hold or grasp a banana (frozen or non-frozen) in such a way that various toppings, garnishes, trimmings, etc. that have been added to the banana do not readily spill over onto the consumer's hands. The dessert holder may also act as a thermal insulator so that the consumer is able to easily hold and eat a cold, frozen banana without making their hands uncomfortable. In one example, the dessert holder includes a main body section that is in the shape of a part of a banana and has first and second ends, as well as a flange section that is connected to the main body section at the second end, which is open to allow the banana to be inserted. The dessert holder may be made from an injection-moldable, food grade (e.g., FDA food grade), thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) or thermoplastic rubber.

  • Patent number: 12231767
Abstract: Image Signal Processing (ISP) optimization framework for computer vision applications is disclosed. The tuning of the ISP is performed automatically and presented as a nonlinear multi-objective optimization problem, followed by solving the problem using an evolutionary stochastic solver. An improved ISP of the embodiments of the invention includes at least features of search space reduction for reducing a number of ISP configurations, remapping the generated population to the reduced search space via mirroring, and global optimization function processing, which allow tuning all the blocks of the ISP at the same time instead of the prior art tuning of each ISP block separately. Also shown that an ISP tuned for image quality performs inferior compared with an ISP trained for a specific downstream image recognition task.

  • Publication number: 20240388588
Abstract: A system that facilitates access control at venues through cohort affinity grouping. It verifies users' authenticity by comparing credentials stored in a database, then identifies related users based on social graph data, such as past attendance and social media activity. By determining correlation values among users, it forms cohorts associated with the venue's resources. Users select and join cohorts, and access rights are transmitted accordingly. A smart queue system triggers notifications for check-in, optimizing the process based on predefined intervals. Any member's check-in request triggers check-in for the entire cohort, streamlining entry. The system assigns queue numbers and notifies users of seating arrangements, fostering a cohesive user experience.
