  • Publication number: 20100013419
Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer storage media provide for the establishment of a parallel motor controller architecture and the dynamic reconfiguration of the architecture to redirect power to various motors according to the changing power load requirements of the motors. According to embodiments described herein, the present power load requirement for each motor of a group of motors is determined. The number of motor controllers to connect to each motor to provide the present power load requirement is then determined. A power switching network that connects the motor controllers to the motors is configured to connect the determined number of motor controllers to the corresponding motors. As the power load requirements of the motors changes, the power switching network is dynamically reconfigured to redirect power accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20090324320
Abstract: A porous applicator for skin sealant has a container of skin sealant held within the applicator. When the skin sealant is released, it flows to a dispensing end of the applicator. The dispensing end has a slot through which the skin sealant is dispensed, however, a roller is rotatably held within a portion of the slot. The roller is porous, in that it has at least one, and desirably a plurality of openings formed through the roller. The skin sealant flows through the slot and through the opening(s) in the roller, so that when the roller is stroked against a patient's skin, the skin sealant is uniformly dispensed on a patient's skin. Pressure applied by a user when applying the skin sealant on a patient's skin does not result in abrasions on the patient's skin from the dispensing end of the applicator.

  • Publication number: 20090026642
Abstract: A method is disclosed for forming an accurate stone cast from an impression of a body region, used for the purpose of prosthetic fabrication, such as dental crowns and artificial eyes and hearing aids. The initial step of this unique method is to affix a relatively thin mix of wet dental stone in contact with the internal surface of the impression. After this initial layering has cured, a subsequent pour is made to sufficiently fill the impression to form a cast.

  • Publication number: 20080081317
Abstract: A method is disclosed for forming an accurate stone cast from an impression of a body region, used for the purpose of prosthetic fabrication, such as dental crowns and artificial eyes and hearing aids. The initial step with this unique method is to first acquire a suitable amount of dental stone catalyst. One type of a suitable stone catalyst is calcium sulfate dihydrate. The dental stone catalyst is engaged onto the internal surface of the impression. This catalyst, placed in the area between impression material and stone, will act to hasten the initial setting of wet, mixed dental stone that is in closest proximity to the impression. The result is a stratified set of the stone. Setting of the wet, mixed dental stone occurs first at the impression/stone interface. The mixed stone better resists distortion upon setting and the resultant set stone cast is more accurate.
