  • Patent number: 11672965
Abstract: An applicator for an analyte monitoring device may include an actuatable housing having a body defining a cavity therein and having a distal opening and a side opening. A cuff and a shuttle are received within the cavity and are separately translatable relative to the housing body. A base may removable engage the housing body at the distal opening. The housing body, the cuff, the shuttle, and/or the base may be engaged with one another with one or more releasable coupling features. The base may be removed from an engagement with the housing body, causing the cuff and the shuttle to be aligned and positioned in a configuration in which the analyte monitoring device, held by the shuttle, is ready for insertion into the skin.

  • Publication number: 20230130753
Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques for fabricating a straight or slanted surface-relief grating with a uniform or non-uniform grating depth. According to certain embodiments, a gray-tone photoresist includes a novolac resin, a diazonaphthoquinone (DNQ) dissolution inhibitor, and one or more crosslinking agents for crosslinking the novolac resin at an elevated temperature to increase a glass transition temperature of the gray-tone photoresist and/or lower an etch rate of the gray-tone photoresist. After gray-tone photo exposure and development, the gray-tone photoresist is baked at the elevated temperature to crosslink. The crosslinked gray-tone photoresist has a higher density and a higher glass transition temperature, and thus would not become flowable to cause ripples or other surface roughness during the etching.

  • Patent number: 11622227
Abstract: A location system of a mobile device may detect a first location and a second location of the mobile device. A processor of the mobile device may determine that the first location and second location are within a geofence surrounding the location of interest. The processor may determine a speed at which the mobile device traveled from the first location to the second location. The processor may determine that the mobile device is loitering at the location of interest in response to the speed being below a threshold value. In response to determining that the mobile device is loitering at the location of interest, the processor may perform check in processing to check a user of the mobile device as being on site at the location of interest.

  • Patent number: 11622326
Abstract: A method including receiving, at a mobile device, a request to provision a first geofence. The first geofence has a first predicted duration that expires before a second predicted geofence is provisioned by the mobile device. Provisioning the first geofence and the second predicted geofence together consume a first amount of power. The method also includes determining a predictive geofence radius based on a predicted speed of the mobile device. The method also includes provisioning a first predictive geofence having the predictive geofence radius and further having a second predicted duration that is different than the first predicted duration and that expires before a second predictive geofence is provisioned by the mobile device. Provisioning the first predictive geofence and the second predictive geofence together consume a second amount of power, the second amount of power less than the first amount of power.

  • Publication number: 20230010946
Abstract: A method for time-synchronizing waveforms from different patient monitors that does not require devices to have high-precision synchronized clocks or to be coupled to a triggering synchronization signal generator. Comparable signals may be obtained from different devices either by placing selected sensors from the devices in the same locations, or by filtering signals from one device to obtain a signal comparable to signals from another device. Filtering may for example transform waveforms into independent components and identify a component that matches a signal from another device. The comparable signals may then be transformed into frequency variation curves, such as time intervals between peak values, to facilitate detection of the time shift between the signals. Cross correlation of the frequency variation curves may be used to locate the precise time shift between the signals. Use of frequency variation curves may be more robust than directly comparing and correlating the original signals.

  • Patent number: 11546953
Abstract: A transceiver of a mobile device may receive a beacon transmitted by a mesh network member mobile device. A processor of the mobile device may extract a crew ID from the beacon. The processor may determine that the crew ID matches a crew ID of a user logged into the mobile device. In response to determining that the crew ID matches the crew ID of the user, the processor may generate a reply beacon. The transceiver may transmit the reply beacon. The transceiver may receive a response to the reply beacon. The response may include a job ID enabling the user to clock into a job. The processor may clock the user into the job. As a result of clocking the user into the job, the mobile device may become a member of the mesh network.

  • Publication number: 20220366154
Abstract: Implementations relate to effectively localizing system responses, that include dynamic information, to target language(s), such that the system responses are grammatical and/or natural in the target language(s). Some of those implementations relate to various techniques for resource efficient generation of templates for a target language. Some versions of those implementations relate to resource efficient generation of target language natural language generation (NLG) templates and, more particularly, to techniques that enable a human user to generate a target language NLG template more efficiently and/or with greater accuracy. The more efficient target language NLG template generation enables less utilization of various client device resources and/or can mitigate the risk of flawed NLG templates being provided for live use in one or more systems.

  • Publication number: 20220299449
Abstract: Improved inspection techniques are described herein for checking for the presence of and identifying surface defects on a honeycomb body. The improved inspection utilizes measurement of travel of an outer surface of the honeycomb body to collect images of the outer surface. The images are combined into a composite image showing the outer surface of the honeycomb body. The composite image is analyzed to identify surface defects.
