  • Patent number: 9296524
Abstract: A child-resistant packaging comprises a packaging container having a mouth and a drawstring positioned along the mouth for selectively opening and closing the mouth. A first cord lock is adapted to receive first and second ends of the drawstring. Actuation of the first cord lock enables the first cord lock to slidably engage the drawstring. In one aspect of the invention, a second cord lock has first and second lobes. The first lobe is adapted to receive the first end of the drawstring while the second lobe is adapted to receive the second end of the drawstring. Simultaneous actuation of the first and second lobes enables the second cord lock to slidably engage the drawstring.

  • Publication number: 20160005003
Abstract: A system includes receiving, from a user device, an instruction to create a meeting. The instruction may identify another user device to invite to the meeting, or a geographic area in which the meeting occurs. The system may also include transmitting, to the other user device, a request to attend the meeting; identifying a communication state, of the other user device, that indicates whether providing location information, associated with the other user device, to the user device is permitted; obtaining the location information when the state permits providing the location information; determining whether the other user device is located within the area based on the location information; and transmitting, to the user device, a notification that indicates that the other user device is within the area when the other user device is within the area. The notification including the location information when the state permits providing the location information.

  • Patent number: 9218020
Abstract: A computing device is assembled to withstand drops, to be re-workable, and to reduce unaesthetic variances between the components. A computing device has a display module that is removably hinged on the bottom, held in place by snap fits on the top before being screwed in place, and held in place by replaceable snap fits on the sides. A battery module and a battery connector can be secured in place with stretch removable tape. A peripheral port component may be biased towards an interior of the housing opening when installed. A laser direct structuring antenna module located in a recess of a plastic molding can be grounded to a metal alloy housing. A plastic molding can be mechanically interlocked to a housing.

  • Publication number: 20150300968
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for determining the 3-dimensional or 3-D atomic resolution structure of a biomolecule using chemical shift data obtained from the biomolecule having one or more selectively isotopically labeled biomolecule monomers and interrogation of same using an NMR device. Methods also comprise use of a low-field NMR device and structure determination method to determine the 2-D and 3-D structure of the biomolecule, for example, a polynucleotide.

  • Patent number: 9160915
Abstract: An orientation associated with an electronic device may be identified. The orientation may correspond to a first orientation or a second orientation, which may each correspond to any orientation within respective ranges of orientations. The device may include an adjustment element for adjusting an operational parameter associated with the device. If the identified orientation corresponds to the first orientation, a first adjustment of the operational parameter may be associated with actuation of a first portion of the adjustment element and a second adjustment of the operational parameter may be associated with actuation of a second portion of the adjustment element. If the identified orientation corresponds to the second orientation, the second adjustment of the operational parameter may be associated with actuation of the first portion and the first adjustment of the operational parameter may be associated with actuation of the second portion.

  • Patent number: 9153902
Abstract: Certain embodiments herein relate to mounting configurations for transferring forces or loads away from connectors for a device. A mounting element may be secured to a connector and, in response to the connector receiving a certain amount of force, may move the connector to a surface or an element associated with the device that may be more suitable for withstanding the force. Various positions of a mounting element with respect to a connector, and/or geometric variations of the mounting element, may allow the mounting element to move the connector in multiple planes, such as vertical, horizontal, and/or diagonal.
