  • Publication number: 20190114609
Abstract: A distributed transaction management computing system is configured for detecting transaction-specific data discrepancies that result from data calculations performed by different processing instances executing on geographically-distributed computing entities. The transaction-specific data discrepancies are identified via a network-accessible operations computing entity in electronic communication with a plurality of geographically-distributed edge computing entities. The operations computing entity defines at least two separate processing instances, wherein a first processing instance is configured to generate secondary data for individual transactions in the event that the edge computing entities do not themselves generate the transaction-specific secondary data; and wherein a second processing instance is configured to generate audit data for individual transactions.

  • Patent number: 10199841
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for controlling an energy storage system. The energy storage system includes a plurality of battery strings connected in parallel with the battery strings having a plurality of batteries connected in series. The method includes determining, via a controller, one or more operating parameters of the energy storage system. The method also includes determining, via the controller, a maximum current rating of one or more of the battery strings. Another step includes estimating, via the controller, a voltage range for the one or more battery strings as a function of the one or more operating parameters and the maximum current rating. • Publication number: 20190026694
Abstract: A system and method of hotel tray and trolley retrieval including a notification device and a computing system wirelessly connected by a network. When in use, the notification device is assigned to a room number of a hotel room via software running on the computing system. A tray and/or a trolley is delivered to the hotel room with the notification device. The hotel patron may then activate the activation device of the notification device. The notification device then sends a wireless communication to the computing system over the network indicating that the tray and/or trolley is ready for pickup from the hotel room.

  • Patent number: 10141776
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling power distribution are provided. The method includes receiving a power command, wherein the power command requests a discharge from one or more BESS units, and wherein the one or more BESS units are housed in one or more temperature controlled rooms. For each of the one or more temperature controlled rooms, a lowest energy remaining of the one or more BESS units in the temperature controlled room is determined; a low threshold is determined based on the determined lowest energy remaining and a floor; a limit is determined based on the determined low threshold; and the limit is assigned to each of the one or more BESS units housed in the temperature controlled room. The method includes causing the power command to be at least partially satisfied by the one or more BESS units based on the assigned limits.

  • Patent number: 9991716
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling an energy storage system to provide for delivery of multiple grid services are provided. Grid service requests can be categorized into a plurality of priority tiers. Power demands associated with the grid service requests can be allocated to enforce the prioritization scheme of the priority tiers. For instance, power demands associated with grid service requests in higher priority tiers can be given preference over power demands associated with grid service requests in lower priority tiers. Multiple grid service requests can be categorized within the same priority tier. In addition, the energy storage system can be controlled not only give priority to grid services requests categorized in the higher priority tiers, but also to manage the state of charge of the system to ensure that there is sufficient reserve capacity to meet power demands of the grid service requests categorized in the higher priority tiers.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a protective device configured to be coupled between an AC power source and an electrical load. A ground continuity monitor is coupled to the ground conductor, the ground continuity monitor being configured to detect a ground discontinuity condition in the ground conductor. A circuit interrupter mechanism is configured to interrupt electrical continuity in a tripped state and establish electrical continuity in a reset state. A self-test circuit is coupled to the ground continuity monitor and configured to perform a simulated ground continuity test that simulates the ground discontinuity condition. The self-test circuit provides a test failure signal when the ground continuity monitor fails to provide an output signal in response to the simulated ground continuity test. The test failure signal is configured to trip the circuit interrupter mechanism.
