Abstract: A handle for a cookware device contains a power supply that is operative to energize one or more of a processor, transceiver and accelerometer, as well as a memory device. The processor is also connected to a one or more external leads that extend into the handle at least to the connection to a sidewall of cooking device for further connection to a sensing circuit or power harvesting circuit. The end of the handle holds at least the processor but is in removable engagement from the portion with the power supply with a resilient sealing member to form a water proof seal.

Abstract: A light-emitting system (1000) removably attachable to headgear is provided, which comprises: a form factor (1010) configured to surround a portion of the headgear when the light-emitting system (1000) is removably attached to the headgear for use; a plurality of halo lighting elements (1100) configured to selectively generate at least a partial halo of light that radiates outwardly away from the light-emitting system; and at least one task lighting element (1120) aligned in a direction along a task light axis (1130) that is fixed and oriented downwardly at an oblique angle (?) relative to a transverse plane (TP) of the light-emitting system (1000), the at least one task lighting element (1120) being configured to selectively generate flood task lighting in an area in front of a user.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a surgical cannula configured as an instrument retaining or centering apparatus, configured for providing insufflation gases to a surgical cavity of a patient (such as the pneumoperitoneum) and allowing insertion of medical instruments into the surgical cavity through the cannula. The cannula can include features to direct gas flow in particular directions to prevent or reduce smoke, fog/condensation, or other unwanted media from contacting a portion of a medical instrument.

Abstract: A user can share (show) multimedia information while simultaneously communicating (telling) with one or more other users over a network. Multimedia information is received from at least one source. The multimedia information may be manually and/or automatically annotated and shared with other users. The multimedia information may be displayed in an integrated live view simultaneously with other modes of communication, such as video, voice, or text. A simultaneous sharing communication interface provides an immersive experience that lets a user communicate via text, voice, video, sounds, music, or the like, with one or more other users while also simultaneously sharing media such as photos, videos, movies, images, graphics, illustrations, animations, presentations, narratives, music, sounds, applications, files, and the like. The simultaneous sharing interface enables a user to experience a higher level of intimacy in their communication with others over a network.

Abstract: A method of securing two components under this disclosure could be said to include receiving an input including a commanded pressure for achieving a pre-stretch on a shaft housed within a fixture. The shaft is coupled to a first component and extending through a second component. In response to receiving the input, causing hydraulic fluid to be provided to the fixture at a pressure based on the commanded pressure, to initiate the pre-stretch on the shaft. A measured stretch of the shaft is received from a sensor. Determining if the measured stretch is within a range of acceptable stretch; and based on a determination that the measured stretch is within the range of acceptable stretch, causing an indication of acceptability. The indication of acceptability being an instruction to tighten a nut to secure the shaft to the second component. A system and a controller are also disclosed.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems for generating customized datasets. An example dataset generator mines contacts from multiple members of an enterprise, applies a pattern recognition process to determine attributes of the contacts aligned with objectives of the enterprise, stores the contacts and associated attributes in a relational data structure, and through a machine learning process, generates a customized contact dataset of the contacts with attributes relevant to a user request, an event, or a notification received. The example dataset generator may also generate an action steps dataset for the user. The dataset generator may aggregate contacts from calls, chats, emails, SMS messages, and video feeds of an enterprise, apply a pattern recognition process to determine attributes of the contacts, and through a machine learning process, partition and distribute the contacts and associated action steps on respective dashboards of multiple customer service representatives of the enterprise.

Abstract: A vehicle assembly includes a frame subassembly of a tailgate. The frame subassembly has a cargo bed access opening between a first outboard section and a second outboard section. The assembly further includes a door subassembly of the tailgate. The door subassembly is pivotably coupled to the frame subassembly. The door subassembly is pivotable relative to the frame subassembly back-and-forth between a door open position and a door closed position. When the door subassembly is in the door closed position, the door subassembly closes the cargo bed access opening and is shingled relative to the frame subassembly.

Abstract: An adjustable installation device for hanging objects on vertical structures is described. In one example, an adjustable installation device includes a body section having a first track member slidably positioned within a second track member, a foot section coupled to the second track member, and a head section rotatably coupled to the first track member at a pivot point. The head section is at least partly rotatable about the pivot point and includes plates extending from an end of the head section, guide holes formed through the plates on a common centerline that extends through a center of each of the guide holes, and an alignment device operable to align the common centerline with a defined plane. The first and second track members are collectively operable to slide the foot and head sections in opposite linear directions to adjust a distance between the foot section and the common centerline.

The data system also may be configured to generate user interfaces customized based on particular users and/or particular associates to allow the associate to interact with the user to resolve the data deficiency. The data system also may determine when to record the communication session, store and/or transcribe the communication session, and/or associate the stored communication session records with the corresponding data in the data system.

Abstract: This disclosure details vehicle closure member systems that include integrated features for increasing the functionality of a closure member (e.g., a swing gate) of the system. A bottle opener feature may be integrated as part of a hinge assembly that movably mounts the closure member relative to a vehicle body. A bottle cap catch feature may be integrated as part of a trim piece that at least partially conceals portions of the hinge assembly, and the bottle cap catch feature may function to collect bottle caps that are dislodged by the bottle opener feature. The integrated bottle opener and bottle cap catch features are conveniently packaged on the vehicle for use during outdoor social gatherings when the closure member is moved to an open position during stationary, non-moving conditions of the vehicle.

In one or more embodiments, the strapping tool includes a motive power source; and a tensioning assembly operatively coupled to the motive power source, the tensioning assembly including a cam member and at least one tensioning foot member, the cam member operatively coupling the at least one tensioning foot member to the motive power source, and the at least one tensioning foot member of the tensioning assembly configured to apply tension to a piece of strapping while being driven in an oscillatory manner by the motive power source. A method of shielding a wire can include providing a tailgate assembly that includes a door subassembly pivotably coupled to a frame subassembly. Abstract: An assembly may include a body side bracket configured to be mounted to a body of a motor vehicle. The assembly may include a hinge arm rotatably mounted to the body side bracket, wherein the hinge arm is rotatable between a closed position and a fully open position. The assembly may further include a detent arm rotatably mounted to the body side bracket. Further, the assembly may include a cam mounted to the hinge arm and configured to travel along the detent arm with movement of the hinge arm. The cam and detent arm are configured to stop and hold the hinge arm in at least one intermediate position between the closed position and the fully open position.
