Abstract: A strapping tool is disclosed herein. In one or more embodiments, the strapping tool includes a motive power source, a sealing assembly, and a lifting assembly. The sealing assembly is configured to crimp or cut a notch in a strapping seal member and a piece of strapping so as to secure the piece of strapping around a package or bundle of items. The lifting assembly includes a handle member operatively coupled to a sealing component of the sealing assembly. When the handle member is depressed by a user, the sealing component is configured to be raised out of a strapping pass line of the strapping tool.

Abstract: Presented is a method for making a flexible container. The method implements an injection mold having a collapsible core that expands/moves to define the apertures and, in some embodiments, holds a flexible film in place during the injection mold process and collapses/moves back post-injection molding to allow for the flexible container to be readily removed from the die. In addition, the method described includes a post-injection molding anneal process that is implemented to allow the flexible film to shrink so as to provide for the form-fitting of the film to the molded portion of the container.

Abstract: A system has been developed to facilitate hands-free autonomous control of material handling equipment or vehicles, such as forklifts and pallet trucks. The system has been designed to facilitate visual tracking by the automated vehicle and further facilitates voice commands. In some use cases, visual tracking is only used, and in other cases only voice commands are used. In other cases, both visual tracking and voice commands are used to control the material handling vehicle. For visual tracking, one or more cameras are configured to capture one or more images of a fiducial. In one case, the vehicle moves, turns, and/or stops based on the movement of the fiducial. For voice control, the operator provides voice commands via a voice controller. The voice controller converts the voice commands to vehicle control commands that are sent to a remote receiver unit (RRU) in the vehicle.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an externally-powered strapping tool that includes a strapping tool assembly configured to perform one or more strapping operations; and an external power source operatively coupled thereto, the external power source being attached to the strapping tool assembly in a substantially immovable manner. Also disclosed herein is a strapping tool assembly that includes one or more strapping tool subassemblies configured to perform one or more strapping operations; a power transfer subassembly operatively coupled to the one or more strapping tool subassemblies, the power transfer subassembly configured to transfer motive power from the external power source to the one or more strapping tool subassemblies; and attachment means configured to releasably attach the strapping tool assembly to the external power source, the attachment means further configured to hold the external power source in a substantially fixed position relative to the strapping tool assembly when the attachment means is engaged.

Abstract: A strapping tensioning and sealing tool is disclosed herein. In one or more embodiments, the strapping tensioning and sealing tool includes a tensioning assembly, the tensioning assembly configured to apply tension to a piece of strapping; and a sealing assembly, the sealing assembly comprising at least one cam member, at least one crimping jaw member, and a motive power source, the at least one cam member operatively coupling the at least one crimping jaw member to the motive power source, and the at least one crimping jaw member of the sealing assembly configured to crimp a strapping sealing member so as to secure the piece of strapping around a package or bundle of items.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a stake support bracket coupled to walls of a cargo bed of a vehicle such as a pick-up-bed truck for providing support to a stake of a standard size or a non-standard size. The stake support bracket includes a first panel, a second panel transverse to the first panel, and a third panel transverse to the second panel. The third panel includes a stake support opening. The stake support bracket further includes a first extension transverse to the third panel and extending away from the first panel and a second extension transverse to the first panel and extending away from the third panel. The stake support bracket provides support to the bottom and the sides of the stake and reduces probabilities of wobbling or pivoting of the stakes.
