  • Publication number: 20190330976
Abstract: Tracers for oil recovery, particularly fluorescent nanotracers conservative in aqueous phases. The tracer comprises a core-shell nanoparticle tailored according to the operation to be traced. It contains a fluorescent core that allows the detection thereof in the field and a functionalized polymeric shell that provides increased stability in high salinity aqueous phases. A method for preparing said nanotracer. Given the nanotracer versatility, it can be used both for tracing fracking steps as well as meshes of secondary and tertiary recovery.

  • Patent number: 10284527
Abstract: Systems and methods may be provided for constructing and deconstructing encoded messages. A method for constructing an encoded message comprising: providing an unencoded message having one or more unencoded characters; identifying one or more suitable human-readable phrases indexed from one or more codebooks wherein characters from extended character sets are mapped to standard characters having similar appearances to the characters from the extended character sets to create one or more human-readable phrases; selecting a suitable human-readable phrase from the one or more codebooks; and generating an encoded message by mapping the unique and repeating characters of the unencoded messages to the extended character set provided by the selected human-readable phrase. Corresponding systems, and computer system products may be provided.

  • Publication number: 20170193592
Abstract: Generally described, the present invention relates to a recurring billing/ordering application that works with an ecommerce platform to enable a merchant to sell products on a recurring basis. The recurrence application enables the merchant to create subscriptions for recurrence frequency sets and assigned products, creates recurrence rule/option sets corresponding to the frequency sets for the assigned products, collects from the ecommerce platform its assigned rule-set IDs for the frequency set, and saves the IDs and the corresponding frequency set in a database. Then upon receiving a customer order for a product with a recurrence frequency selected from a frequency set, the recurrence application collects rule-set IDs from the ecommerce platform, checks the database for any of those IDs, and upon finding a match uses the corresponding frequency for processing the recurring orders, without having to be redirected from the ecommerce platform to an external account to obtain this information.

  • Patent number: 9637349
Abstract: An example elevator brake includes a first braking member that is biased by a first spring member into engagement with a braking surface. The first braking member includes a first armature arranged to be actuated by an electromagnetic actuator to disengage the first braking member from the braking surface against the biasing force of the first spring member. A second braking member is biased by a second spring member into engagement with a braking surface. The second braking member includes a second armature arranged to be actuated by an electromagnetic actuator to disengage the second braking member against the biasing force of the second spring member. A first electromagnetic actuator actuates the first armature and a second electromagnetic actuator actuates the second armature.

  • Patent number: 9014358
Abstract: Presented are systems and methods for creating a transcription of a conference call. The system joins an audio conference call with a device associated with a participant, of a plurality of participants joined to the conference through one or more associated devices. The system then creates a speech audio file corresponding to a portion of the participant's speech during the conference and converting contemporaneously, at the device, the speech audio file to a local partial transcript. The system then acquires a plurality of partial transcripts from at least one of the associated devices, so that the device can provide a complete transcript.
