  • Patent number: 6616248
Abstract: In an automotive anti-lock brake control system, solenoid portions of electromagnetic valves and an electronic control unit for controlling the energizing of an electric motor are accommodated in a cover which is joined to a housing. Provided on the substrate of the control unit are a positive side conductive line having a relay circuit interposed at a position along the length thereof and connected to the motor, and a negative side conductive line connected to the motor and allowed to function as a negative side power supply line for the substrate. The positive and negative side conductive lines are connected to ends of a battery via motor coupler terminals. A capacitor electric component acting as a countermeasure against the noise attributed to the electric motor is mounted on the substrate so as to provide a connection between the positive and negative side conductive lines.

  • Patent number: 5787497
Abstract: A DMA control device for generating an address value to a ring buffer according to the present invention is provided with an address generation circuit for generating address signals to the ring buffer sequentially by providing an initial value with an address value within a range where the ring buffer is set, and a corrected address generation circuit for initializing the address generation circuit by use of a value obtained by subtracting the total number of addresses of the ring buffer from an address value of the address signals generated from the address generation circuit when the address value of the address signals exceeds a final address of the ring buffer.

  • Patent number: 5677587
Abstract: A small motor includes a rotor fastened to a rotor shaft; a drive magnet disposed facing to the rotor; and bearings for rotatably supporting the rotor shaft with the rotor fastened thereto, wherein a magnetization pattern of the magnet is shaped in such a manner that magnetic forces contributing to the rotation drive of the rotor are balanced, and magnetic forces contributing to the rotor core attraction are unbalanced, thereby biasing the rotor shaft in fixed directions within the bearings.

  • Patent number: 5572336
Abstract: An image data processing apparatus for dividing one page of image data into segments for high-speed image data processing. Each of the image data segments is processed by a separate compandor. The processed data is stored in an FIFO memory corresponding to each of the compandors matching the segments. The data stored in the FIFO memory is moved from there to a compressed data storage by DMA data transfer under control of a DMA data transfer controller. The DMA data transfer controller, activated beforehand by a CPU, starts transferring data upon receipt of a DMA data transfer request signal DRQ generated by a DRQ control circuit corresponding to each FIFO memory. Since the DMA data transfer controller is already operational, it executes data transfers in a very short time on receiving the DMA data transfer request signal.

  • Patent number: 5519933
Abstract: A method permits the use of a low-cost bearing and by which a bearing unit can be manufactured without requiring lathe turning or any special kind of compression, pressure application, etc., that experiences low loss and which assures high precision in the perpendicularity of the rotating shaft to be supported by the bearing. The process for manufacturing a bearing unit in which bearing that supports a rotating shaft in a freely rotatable manner is secured to mounting member. The process includes at least the following three steps: the first step for providing sizing bar in hole in bearing into which the rotating shaft is to be inserted; the second step for working an end portion of the bearing, thereby forming in an end portion of the hole a small-diameter portion that is equal in size to the outside diameter of the sizing bar; and the third step for securing the bearing to the mounting member.

  • Patent number: 5046117
Abstract: An image-data scaling system in which a digital image data is subjected to a desired scale with respect to a main scanning direction to obtain a reduced or enlarged image data. The original image data is sequentially distributed to be sequentially stored into a plurality of memory means in synchronism with a data clock for the original image data. Image data stored in the plurality of memory means are parallelly read out on the basis of a read clock synchronized with the data clock and according to a desired scaling factor. The image data parallelly read out are partially or wholly extracted, or one or a plurality of interpolation image data are inserted between any selected adjacent image data, to thereby obtain an image data having the desired scaling factor.

  • Patent number: 4769790
Abstract: A matrix data transposer is disclosed which allows data stored in a matrix format to be transposed at high speed using parallel processing techniques. In one embodiment, the data are passed through a time delay means which delays each bit of a word a different amount. The time delayed data are then passed through a distribution means which operates to shift the data in position from rows to columns. The shifted data are then passed through a second time delay means to restore the data to its original timing, the end result being the data transposed so that what was originally one row of the data matrix is now one column of the matrix. A second embodiment achieves the same result using only one time delay means and two distribution means.
