    Abstract: An LCD device and a method for manufacturing the same is disclosed, in which it is possible to correct a problem of insufficient or excessive supply of liquid crystal in an LCD device by controlling an amount of liquid crystal. The method includes preparing a liquid crystal cell comprised of a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates, and a first sealant formed in the periphery of the liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates; measuring an amount of liquid crystal provided to the inside of liquid crystal cell; forming an inlet for liquid crystal in the first sealant; and regulating the amount of liquid crystal by supplying or discharging the liquid crystal through the inlet; and sealing the inlet.

A supporting panel can be hinge-coupled to a lower side of the front panel to move a lower end of the front panel forward and backward by sliding from a prescribed location of the main chassis in forward and backward directions of the main chassis. A vertical guide can be formed at the front side of the main chassis, and a protrusion formed on the front panel can be inserted into the vertical guide for controllably moving an upper portion of the front panel up and down.

The training symbol storage and generation unit stores training symbols for the preamble, and outputs the stored training symbols when a training symbol output request signal is received. The delay unit receives data for the signal field from the MAC layer, delays the received data by the data processing time of the scrambler, and outputs the delayed data to the convolution encoder. The controller outputs the training symbol output request signal, requesting the preamble of the frame, to the training symbol storage and generation unit when a frame transmission request is received from the MAC layer, and outputs a data request signal, requesting the signal field and the data field, to the MAC layer in consideration of total data processing time (TPROCESS).

    Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for transmitting error information between an Ethernet network and a synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) network. According to the present invention, when an error occurs in the Ethernet network or the SDH network, OAM information is transferred to the opposite network by using a conventional MAC control frame from a linked part of the Ethernet network and the SDH network and thus the EoS network may be efficiently operated and managed. Also, by using standardized MAC control frame, the present invention may be applied to an existing system without additionally changing hardware or defining a new OAM frame.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for guaranteeing a service specific bandwidth in an Ethernet frame transmission system. In the method, memory status information of an input frame buffer and usable bandwidth information of a present Ethernet network are obtained if congestions or errors occur in the Ethernet frame transmission system. Then, different pause times by service specific priorities are set based on the memory status information and the usable bandwidth information. A MAC control frame including the pause frame is provided to the corresponding adjacent nodes. A media access control processor, if the received Ethernet frame is the MAC control frame, detects the pause times by priorities in the detected pause frame. A single processor generates drop information by priorities. A network processor drops a corresponding Ethernet frame according to the drop information by priorities, which is generated from the signal processor.

    Abstract: A MAC device guarantees QoS in a VoIP wireless LAN by giving higher priority to voice data than to non-voice data. Transmission data generated by an application program is provided to a modem according to the priority assigned to the data. A kernel classifies the transmission data into voice and non-voice data. A MAC driver stores the voice and non-voice data in two queues, and transmits a MAC header to a MAC transmitter to notify it of generation of the transmission data, and transmits the stored voice or non-voice data to the MAC transmitter according to the type of a transmission interrupt received from the MAC transmitter in response to the notification. The MAC transmitter combines the voice or non-voice data, received from the MAC driver in response to the transmission interrupt, with a corresponding header, and outputs it to the modem.
