  • Patent number: 5865725
Abstract: The present invention is characterized by arranging along the lengthwise direction within a lens barrel: a side view mirror or prism which reflects in the lengthwise direction of said lens barrel the optical image incident from a translucent window that opens to the tip side surface; an image focusing optical system which focuses that optical image; and a CCD element which captures the optical image focused by said image focusing optical system; and is characterized by mounting in the light route reaching from aforementioned side view mirror or prism to said CCD element optical image inversion mirror or prism which reflects the optical image inverted by said side view mirror or prism such that it faces said CCD element in a reinverted state.

  • Patent number: 5827953
Abstract: An impacting velocity v.sub.1 and a rebounding velocity v.sub.1 ' of the hammer at a second hammer velocity measurement point 12 a distance x.sub.1 apart from a first hammer velocity measurement point 11 in the system of movement of the hammer are measured and the hardness H of the specimen is calculated in accordance with Equation 1, ##EQU1## where x.sub.2 denotes the distance between the first hammer velocity measurement point 11 and the specimen 2 and .alpha. denotes the acceleration acting on said hammer. Thereby, a hardness test in a rebound type hardness tester can be performed without measuring the velocities of the hammer immediately before impacting against the specimen and immediately after the impaction.

  • Patent number: 5689602
Abstract: A CCD video scope is mounted in a camera head and has an image capture optical system defining an optical axis, and a half mirror with a light source offset from the optical axis and facing the half mirror, which coaxially defracts illumination light in relation to the optical axis. The resultant optical image is incident on a CCD element also lying on the optical axis. Bundled fibers are mounted between the light source and the half mirror, and have a diameter of less than 250.mu. and a length of 10 times or more the diameter. The light source has a light focusing lens with an exit angle equal to or less than the maximum light incident angle of the optical fiber elements.

  • Patent number: 5480235
Abstract: A bearing sealing device is used for sealing a bearing assembly by inserting the sealing device through an insertion hole in the bearing assembly and mounting it in a fitting groove formed therein. Individual bearing sealing devices may be obtained by punching operations, and may be produced in large quantities and continuously without requiring any subsequent treatment such as removal of burrs. The bearing sealing device thus formed provides improved firm fitting to the bearing assembly. The bearing sealing device includes an elastic sealing ring and a backing ring combined with each other. The elastic sealing ring has a sealing lip around the peripheral edge thereof extending beyond the corresponding peripheral edge of the backing ring. With the bearing sealing device mounted on the bearing assembly, part of the lip is formed to include a swelling that extends outwardly of the fitting groove so as to embrace the peripheral edge of the backing ring, thus holdiong the backing ring firmly.

  • Patent number: 4805929
Abstract: The present invention relates to a spring-constant variable type stabilizer device for a vehicle, the device comprising a stabilizer provided between left and right wheels of the vehicle and a control cylinder arranged between the stabilizer and a lower arm, wherein spring constant of the stabilizer is variably adjusted by controlling the control cylinder. An oil port of an oil passage in communication with a reservoir chamber in a position assuming a neutral position of a piston stroke region is formed in a cylinder body of the control cylinder, a piston within the cylinder body is always biased from both directions thereof by means of a pair of springs, and a locked state of the control cylinder is promptly attained always in a complete neutral position.

  • Patent number: 4571019
Abstract: A connecting terminal of electrically conductive material is in the form of a flat plate having first and second tabs which are stamped from the plate and bent upwardly from the same surface of the plate. The first tab is reversely bent to overlie the plate in spaced substantially parallel relation thereto for receiving an insulated wire and the second tab is disposed at an acute angle to the plate and is directed opposite to the first tab for anchoring the free end of the wire to the terminal. The first tab is provided with an elongated slot in the bent portion thereof so that on subsequent clamping of the wire by the application of pressure by opposed electrodes and the passage of current through the electrodes, the insulation will be burned off the wire under the first tab. The elongated slot allows for the escape of gasses and burned insulation material so as to insure a good electrical connection between the conductive core of the wire and the terminal.
