  • Patent number: 9133998
Abstract: A parabola type vehicular illumination lamp that forms a low-beam distribution pattern with a horizontal cut-off line at its upper end, including a reflector (34) formed in its lower reflection area (34a1) with a light non-incident area (34aL1) on which light from a light source bulb (32) is not incident since the light is blocked by a shade (36) provided in front of the light source bulb (32). The light non-incident area (34aL1) of the reflector (34) has an additional reflection portion (34aL1A) for reflecting light, which is from the light source bulb (32) and reflected by the upper reflection area (34au) of the reflector (34) and then reflected by the upper area (14u) of a translucent cover (14), in a direction below the horizontal cut-off line of the low-beam distribution pattern.

  • Publication number: 20150256737
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus that is capable of performing a focusing control with sufficient accuracy without restricting a settable range of a focus detection area. An image pickup device has pixels each of which has sub-pixels that receive light beams passing through different pupil areas. A correlation operation area including a focus detection area and a shift area is set in an image indicated by an output from the image pickup device. A defocus amount is calculated in response to a correlation amount found by applying a shift process to image signals from the sub-pixels. If the focus detection area is set at a position where the correlation operation area is set with a default width, the shift area is set with a predetermined width. Otherwise the shift area is set with a narrower width and the correlation operation area is set with a width narrower than the default width.

  • Publication number: 20150256166
Abstract: The highest voltage of a power supply voltage, a ground potential, and a signal voltage is output as a selection voltage from a terminal on the output side. In this case, terminals on the input side and the terminal on the output side are connected to each other through MOS transistors in the ON state. Therefore, it is possible to suppress a voltage drop due to a parasitic diode of each MOS transistor.

  • Publication number: 20150244318
Abstract: When an external clock signal exceeding a power supply voltage is input to a first terminal, a voltage of a bulk of a P type MOS transistor becomes higher than a power supply voltage, but a current does not flow from the bulk of the P type MOS transistor to a first power supply line since a first diode is provided in a forward direction with respect to a direction of a current flowing from a first power supply line to the bulk of the P type MOS transistor. Therefore, it is possible to reliably prevent a reverse current from flowing from the first terminal to the first power supply line.

  • Publication number: 20150195446
Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes an imaging plane phase-difference type first focus detecting unit and a contrast type second focus detecting unit. A saturation detecting unit detects saturation of focus detecting pixels or imaging pixels provided in an imaging element. A brightness detecting unit detects the brightness of an object. If the number of pixels detected by the saturation detecting unit exceeds a predetermined value or the brightness of an object detected by the brightness detecting unit is less than a predetermined value, a CPU controls a focus adjustment operation only using a first detection amount. Alternatively, the CPU controls a focus adjustment operation based on the result obtained by weighting processing of a first detection amount and a second detection amount in response to an increase in the number of pixels of which saturation of the outputs has been detected or a decrease in the brightness of an object.

  • Publication number: 20140157981
Abstract: A piston is provided displaceably in the interior of a cylinder tube that constitutes a fluid pressure cylinder, and a piston cover made from an elastic material is disposed so as to cover one end surface of the piston. The piston cover comprises a main body portion confronting a head cover of the cylinder tube, a guide portion covering an outer circumferential surface of the piston and disposed in sliding contact with an inner circumferential surface of a cylinder hole, and a hook portion folded toward an inner circumferential side with respect to the guide portion. Upon displacement of the piston toward the head cover, shocks are absorbed by abutment of the main body portion against the head cover. When the piston is displaced along the cylinder tube, the guide portion serves to guide the piston in the axial direction by sliding contact with the cylinder hole.
