  • Patent number: 10171681
Abstract: A network service plan provisioning system processes multiple service plan components, where the components are allowed to have respective traffic classification filters that, due to an overlap in classification, can each match the same network traffic event. A user can include multiple such components in the same service plan by creating a prioritization. The provisioning system processes and deploys the components to one or more network devices via an instruction set such that all such components are active for the service plan but the prioritization determines which component is activated when multiple component filters match a network traffic event.

  • Publication number: 20180168128
Abstract: Embodiments of an anti-pull collar attachment are provided. In one embodiment, the anti-pull collar attachment includes a collar attachment interface having a collar guideway through which a segment of an animal collar is routed to removably mount the collar attachment to the animal collar. A first prodding feature is coupled to the collar attachment interface and, when the anti-pull collar attachment is removably mounted to the animal collar, is positioned beneath the segment of the animal collar. The prodding feature engages into an animal wearing the animal collar when a pull force is exerted on the collar. In certain implementations, the anti-pull collar attachment further includes a frame coupled to the collar attachment interface, as well as a movable platform slidable with respect to the frame along a prodding axis. The first prodding feature projects from the movable platform and moves in conjunction therewith along the prodding axis.

  • Publication number: 20180153311
Abstract: A mattress and hidden compartment combination system includes a mattress that has a top surface, a bottom surface and a perimeter edge extending between the top and bottom surfaces. The perimeter edge includes a head edge, a foot edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The mattress has a cavity therein extending downwardly through the top surface and extending into the interior space. The cavity is spaced from the first and second lateral edges. A housing is positionable in the cavity of the mattress and is accessible from above the mattress. A control assembly is mounted in the housing. A power input is electrically coupled to the control assembly and a control input is in communication with the control assembly.

  • Publication number: 20180146927
Abstract: An alternating recording electrode to eliminate acquisition related artifacts in electro-physiological recording. In order to eliminate artifacts in neural response recordings, a pair of recordings is made with, respectively, inverted and non-inverted polarity at one pair of electrodes. One component of the recording artifact is introduced by the electronics of the acquisition system itself. This is mainly the switch on or acquisitional artifact. Rather than eliminate this by subtracting the result of a recording without stimulus from the actual recording, two recordings based on an alternation of the polarities of the active and reference electrode are used. This alternates the polarity of the external signal but not the internal electrical artifact. Hence the average of the two recordings will eliminate the acquisition artifact without the need for an extra recording of, say, a baseline.

  • Patent number: 9955332
Abstract: A master wireless device and a child wireless device execute respective device activation sequences. On the child wireless device, the activation sequence displays, on a display of the device, a non-textual image representing a unique child device credential. On the master wireless device, the activation sequence prompts a user to capture a digital picture of the child wireless device screen. The master wireless device presents its own credentials, along with information from the digital picture, to a service management system in a network, allowing the service management system to verify that the master wireless device is associated with a subscriber and is allowed to configure a child device, as well as verify the child device. Upon successful verification, the service management system activates the child wireless device to the subscriber account of the master wireless device.

  • Publication number: 20180042760
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to devices that aid a user in ceasing bruxism. The devices may be placed between a user's teeth, such as during sleep, and alert the user when the user clenches his/her teeth. In an aspect, a device includes a housing containing a battery power source, a vibration device, and an electrical contact mechanism having a movable element which closes a circuit to actuate the vibration device. A disk-shaped portion adapted to be emplaced in a person's mouth between a cheek and adjacent teeth is disposed around the housing. A resilient bite portion extends from the housing and is adapted to be emplaced between upper and lower teeth. A compressible element is disposed in the bite portion and causes the movable element of the electrical contact to close to actuate the vibration device in response to compression of the bite portion.

  • Patent number: 9836439
Abstract: A file, including visual information or auditory information may be uploaded to a processing device. Respective portions of content of the file may be identified fin compressing and saving at respective bit rates. A number of component files may be created, compressed and saved, at the respective bit rates, based on the identified respective portions of content of the file. A network page, including a reference to the uploaded file, may be created. The reference to the uploaded file, in the page, may be replaced with references to the compressed, saved component files and the network page may be saved. A processing device of a user may request the network page and the compressed, saved component files. A reasonable facsimile of the file may be reproduced based on an aggregate of the compressed, saved component files.

  • Publication number: 20170228504
Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for mobile device network traffic modification and user identity based restrictions on data access. One of the methods includes a user device receiving a request to enter a restricted mode, the restricted mode enforcing compliance of rules associated with electronic personal health information (ePHI). A user interface presented on the user device is updated according to restricted mode. Functionality of the user device is constrained based on the restricted mode, with information generated during the restricted mode being encrypted on the user device.
