The polymeric polysulfide is formed by reacting a fatty acid composition comprising at least one unsaturated fatty acid or derivative thereof with sulfur, at a weight ratio between 9:1 and 1:9, under inverse vulcanisation conditions to produce a polymeric polysulfide wherein at least 50% of the fatty acids or derivatives thereof in the fatty acid composition are unsaturated.

Abstract: A control system (200) using fixed point computation avoids overflow conditions by limiting the internal quantities ensuring that contributing calculations from various parts of the control loop never add up to an overflow. Various parts of a control loop e.g. proportional terms can be prioritised over other parts, e.g. integral and differential terms and ensuring that the overall total resulting when the separate terms are summed together never exceeds the maximum or minimum imposed limits. Variable limit calculator circuits (211,219) revise the limits according to the output of the higher priority control path(s). The revised limits cascade down through each contributor, eventually allowing the lowest priority control path the smallest authority. The control system may be applied to control of a drive motor (111) for an aircraft inceptor (103).

Abstract: A system and method for recording video healthcare information of an individual under care based on properties of the information without deleting data, includes a device for capturing data relating to an individual, and configured to transmit a signal identifying the device, a memory for storing rules relating to the device, a buffer, a database; and a processor. The processor receives the device identification signal and said data, and retrieves the rules from the memory. Based on the rules, the processor determines, whether the data is to be stored in the database; or stored in the buffer. Based on the content of the data, the processor determines the location of the device, the time that the data was recorded, whether the individual recorded is identified as the individual under care, and the activity performed by the individual.

Abstract: This present invention provides methods for the detection of small molecules in samples comprising the steps a) coupling a nanoparticle (NP) or microparticle (MP) to an aptamer specific for the small molecule to be detected to form a NP-aptamer conjugate b) contacting the NP-aptamer conjugate with the sample; and c) detecting a change in the size, surface potential, or mobility of the NP-aptamer conjugate, wherein the change is indicative of the presence of the small molecule. The present invention also provides for and a biosensor comprising nanoparticles coupled to aptamers to provide nanoparticle aptamer-conjugates (NP-aptamer).

Abstract: A reusable insulation wrap for insulating and protecting an article, the wrap comprising a multilayer insulation member having a nylon protective layer adapted to be abrasion and moisture resistant to prevent damage to the other layers, a polymerized chloroprene stretchable layer adapted to resist moisture and having first and second edges and sized to closely encircle the article, a closed cell foam insulative layer, a foil reflective layer affixed to the closed cell foam adapted outside thereof, a flame retardant and an ultraviolet protectant in one of the layers and a hook and loop fastener adapted to cooperatively engage and maintain desired position on the article, whereby, the wrap is stretched around the article to fit snugly in place minimizing influence of the outside environment including temperature fluctuations, moisture, and debris on the article.

Abstract: A system and method of granting a service authorization to a service provider in a regulating or funding agency of a first organization to access one or more individual's information in a second organization, where a service authorization comprises an authorization to access information and to provide specific services from said regulating or funding agency, the request for service authorization coming from an organization from an individual, patent or guardian of the individual, or regulating or funding organization, for service to be provided to an individual whose private information is stored within the second organization. A system for approving or rejecting the service authorization requests is provided based on authorization of the service provider, as well as a system and method for recording and sharing the outcomes of all decisions with the organization. If a service authorization is approved, it may be integrated into the organization's own workflow.

Abstract: Systems and methods for sharing billing information across at least two organizations in an integrated manner are described. A physical node may receive a request for authorization for a user in an organization to access an individual's information in another organization. The request may be logged. The physical node may determine whether the user is authorized to access the individual's information and, if it is, provide appropriate access. Also disclosed is an integrated web application and system which includes the core plan, budget, service authorizations, service documentation, claims, and communications of an individual under care and allows for calculated access and communication with external authorization and payment systems.
