  • Publication number: 20240134708
Abstract: A system and method for assigning a workload to one of a plurality of candidate host machines of a computing environment. The method may include receiving a request to schedule a workload, selecting a virtual machine type for executing the workload, for each candidate host machine of the plurality of candidate host machines, determining an expected waste score indicating a likelihood of resources at the candidate host machine remaining unused if the virtual machine type is assigned to the candidate host machine, selecting the candidate host machine for which the expected waste score is the lowest, and assigning the workload to the selected candidate host machine.

  • Patent number: 11954658
Abstract: A system includes one or more memory devices storing instructions, and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform steps of a method. The system may provide an augmented environment that facilitates a transaction. The system may store profile data including user payment or user profile information. The system may then receive environmental data, and identify one or more action items in the environmental data. In response to this identification, the system may augment the environmental data by adding virtual environmental data, and then provide this virtual environmental data to a device to create an augmented environment. The system can then receive user input data, and provide purchase request data to a merchant terminal in response to those inputs.

  • Patent number: 11931662
Abstract: A motion simulation apparatus includes a motion platform. A carrier for carrying a user is mounted on the motion platform. The apparatus has a drive arm with a lower end that is pivotally mounted on a substrate to pivot relative to the substrate with two degrees of freedom of movement and an upper end that is pivotally connected to the motion platform to pivot with respect to the motion platform with two degrees of freedom of movement. The apparatus has two guide arms, each guide arm having a lower end that is pivotally mounted on the substrate to pivot relative to the substrate with three degrees of freedom of movement and an upper end that is pivotally connected to the motion platform to pivot relative to the motion platform with three degrees of freedom of movement. The drive arm, the guide arms and the motion platform define a dynamic frame that can pivot with respect to the substrate such that a resultant movement of the motion platform can be imparted to the carrier.

  • Patent number: 11928014
Abstract: A method of tracking errors in a system comprising microservices comprises ingesting a plurality of spans generated by the microservices during a given duration of time. The method further comprises consolidating the plurality of spans associated with the given duration of time into a plurality of traces, wherein each trace comprises a subset of the plurality of spans that comprise a common trace identifier. For each trace, the method comprises: a) mapping a respective trace to one or more error stacks computed for the respective trace and to one or more attributes determined for the respective trace; and b) emitting each error stack computed from the respective trace with an associated pair of attributes. The method then comprises reducing duplicate pairs of error stack and associated attributes and maintaining a count for each pair of error stack and associated attributes.
