  • Publication number: 20210347256
Abstract: A UTV portal axle system is disclosed, including a spindle with a housing for housing input and output drive gears coupled by one or more idler gears. The output drive gear is disposed lower than the input drive gear to provide additional ground clearance to the UTV. The king pin axis angle is substantially the same as that of a stock UTV, while maintaining a scrub radius of substantially one inch or less. This is accomplished by the lower control arm ball joint being located within a recess of the output drive gear. This allows the UTV to be properly controlled when driven at high speeds over rough or uneven terrain. The gears may be interchangeable to allow the gear ratio to be adjusted to be more suitable for use at various driving speeds. A method of changing the gear ratio is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210317893
Abstract: Embodiments of a hydraulic bump stop assembly may include a telescoping hydraulic cylinder containing hydraulic fluid. The telescoping cylinder may be located on a vehicle shock. Components of the shock may engage and compress the telescoping cylinder during the final stages of compression of the shock to prevent the shock from bottoming out. The telescoping cylinder has damping properties during compression and expansion due to hydraulic fluid being forced through orifices of one or more hydraulic fluid lines to and from a reservoir. Damping ratios may be adjusted by adjusting the size of the orifices. In some embodiments, the damping ratios may be adjusted remotely, such as from the driver compartment of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11138556
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for providing adequate instructions to conduct an inventory of a store, and specifically a pre-inventory of difficult to count items. As store are selected for performing an inventory, instructions to perform pre-counts of specific items are sent. As the pre-count begins, videos, text, or other materials needed to perform a complete pre-count are distributed to the store associate performing the pre-count task. If the pre-count is outside pre-defined thresholds, an additional task to re-count the item may be assigned. Based on these actions, the set of rules used to identify when the re-count should occur can be modified.

  • Publication number: 20210276385
Abstract: A coilover shock with adjustable crossover is disclosed, in which, in some embodiments, a pre-load collar of a coilover shock may be adjustable in length, so as to engage the spring divider, when the tender coil spring is partially compressed during a compression stroke of the coilover shock, to prevent further compression of the tender coil spring and begin compression of the main coil spring. In some embodiments, the spring divider may be adjustable in length, so as to engage the pre-load collar, when the tender coil spring is partially compressed during a compression stoke of the coilover shock, to prevent further compression of the tender coil spring and begin compression of the main coil spring. In some embodiments, an adjustable pre-load collar, or an adjustable spring divider, may be controlled remotely, such as by a controller located in the driver compartment of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11008935
Abstract: A combustion system and apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus employs a groove-shaped combustion area and a trap composed of a lid and a door. The lid is disposed in communication with the trap and is configured to slide within and over the groove-shaped combustion area during use. Combustion occurs within the groove-shaped combustion area, pushing the trap, whereby a rotor is forced to rotate, conveying power from a combustible material to perform work. As a corollary, the apparatus may be configured for use in the field of air compression and air decompression. Multiple groove-shaped combustion areas may be configured in a parallel or series orientation. Gas compression/decompression only utilizes a single groove, whereas combustion preferably utilizes a compression groove and a combustion groove.

  • Publication number: 20210142423
Abstract: Trip classifying systems and methods include one or more servers communicatively coupled with a mobile device, one or more data stores, and a trip classifying device. The trip classifying device includes a housing, a processor, a wireless communication module, a speaker, a business selector, a personal selector, and a microphone. In response to a signal received from a mobile phone indicating that the trip has begun, the trip classifying device provides a notification to the driver to classify the trip. In response to receiving the user selection of the business selector, the system automatically initiates an audio recording for the driver to dictate a business purpose for the trip. The audio recording is transmitted to the mobile phone which initiates transcription and later displays the transcription on a user interface of the mobile phone. The trip classifying device may have no trip classifying selectors except the business and personal selectors.
