  • Patent number: 9990542
Abstract: The disclosure provides a method of switching video images and a surveillance system. The method includes the following steps. A first video image is displayed under a first display mode in a monitoring interface. Whether a target object in the first video image enters into a designated region in the first video image is determined. Whether a ratio of the targeted object to the first video image is smaller than or equal to a first threshold is determined when the target object enters into the designated region. When the ratio is smaller than or equal to the first threshold, a second video image is displayed under the first display mode in the monitoring interface. The designated region in the first video image is related to a geographic position, and the second video image is a video image related to the geographic position.

  • Publication number: 20180107226
Abstract: A path planning method applied to a navigation device includes acquiring a two-dimensional depth map, transforming the two-dimensional depth map into a gray distribution map via statistics of pixel values on the two-dimensional depth map, computing a space matching map by arranging pixel counts on the gray distribution map, and computing a weighting value about each angle range of the space matching map in accordance with a distance from location of a pixel count to a reference point of the space matching map. The weighting value represents existential probability of an obstacle within the said angle range and a probable distance between the navigation device and the obstacle.

  • Publication number: 20170118475
Abstract: Methods and apparatus of compression for non-stitched pictures captured by multiple cameras of a panoramic video capture device are disclosed. According to one embodiment, the system uses a RIBC (Remapped Intra Block Copy) mode, where the block vector (BV) or BV predictor is remapped using calibration data to reduce the search range. The mapped BV or BVP is also more efficient for coding. A color scaling process can be used with the RIBC mode to compensate the color/brightness discrepancy between images from different cameras. A projection-based Inter prediction method is also disclosed. The projection-based Inter prediction method takes into account different perspectives between two images captured from different cameras. Transform matrix is applied to a block candidate to project the block candidate to a position of a target block. The projected block candidate is used as a predictor for the target block.
