  • Publication number: 20110066506
Abstract: A monetization system to share in the revenue generated from advertisements associated with a social application generated by a user of a social network service. When another user of the social network service requests to access the social application, the monetization system responds to the request with an instance of the application that includes one or more advertisements. The monetization system determines an amount payable to the creator of the application based on the display of the advertisements and/or any actions taken with respect to a displayed advertisement.

  • Publication number: 20090073313
Abstract: A method for controlling a television equipped with a camera sensor is performed as follows. A background image is captured by the camera sensor. After entering a control mode, functional blocks are displayed on the television, and a user image is captured by the camera sensor and shown on the television. A control command is based on the user image, the functional block and the background image, and the television is controlled by the control command. Accordingly, the control functions of the traditional remote controller can be replaced by analysis and comparison of the user image and the background image, and therefore, it is more convenient for the user if the remote controller is absent.

  • Patent number: 7445151
Abstract: A card printer includes a housing having a card outlet and a connecting element for connecting to a connecting element of a dust-proof card receiver. The dust-proof card receiver includes an opening. A vertical distance between the opening and the bottom of the housing is approximately the same as a vertical distance between the card outlet and the bottom of the housing. When cards output from the card outlet of the housing accumulate to the height of the opening and the card printer continues to output printed cards, cards subsequently output from the card printer push an upper card inside the dust-proof card receiver out from the opening of the dust-proof card receiver.

  • Patent number: 7334953
Abstract: A card printer includes a housing, a card inlet and a card outlet. A distance between the card inlet and the bottom of the housing is approximately the same as a distance between the card outlet and the bottom of the housing. When serially connecting two similar card printers, the card outlet of the first printer is positioned corresponding to the card inlet of the second printer. Therefore, a card outputted from the card outlet of the first printer is directly inputted into the card inlet of the second printer thereby simplifying a card printing process and reducing labor.

  • Patent number: 6953294
Abstract: According to the claimed invention, a positioning apparatus is disclosed. The positioning apparatus comprises a motor and a Scotch yoke for controlling the position of a first printer part. The motor is for providing a rotational motion to the Scotch yoke. In response, part of the Scotch yoke moves in a linear fashion. As a result of the linear motion of the Scotch yoke, the position of the first printer part can be controlled.

  • Publication number: 20030134196
Abstract: A non-aqueous secondary organic battery. The battery includes an positive electrode of polyaniline-conductive carbon black composite (PAn-C composite). The PAn-C composite is prepared using a high-speed impingment mill with high-speed fluid striking and grinding functions. The resulting PAn-C composite has higher conductivity than the mixture of conductive carbon and PAn by direct mixing. The non-aqueous secondary organic battery of the present invention exhibits great capacity and energy density.
