  • Patent number: 8087905
Abstract: The invention relates to a cooling apparatus for an electric component such as a CPU, a memory or power semiconductor, such as transistors or LEDs, or a processor. The cooling apparatus comprises a heatsink, an impeller that coaxially encloses the heatsink, and a drive motor for the impeller. The heatsink takes the form of a stationary hub having a base for introducing heat from the electronic component that is to be cooled, the hub widening towards the base. Cooling fins are thermally coupled to the hub, the cooling fins being given a spiral-like curve similar to the blades of the impeller. Due to the special design of the hub and the cooling fins as well as the use of a radial flux motor, a highly efficient, particularly compact cooling apparatus can be realized.

  • Patent number: 8083648
Abstract: The invention relates to a rope spreading device for rope networks with tensioning ropes that converge at a top point of a support mast at an acute angle. It is an object of the invention to overcome the lack of play space, while making it also possible to vary the tension of the tensioning ropes. Accordingly, a rope spreading device is provided for rope networks with tensioning ropes that converge at a top point of a support mast at an acute angle, wherein the device is characterized in that at least one rope spreader is arranged between a tensioning rope and a support mast. The rope spreader changes the path of the tensioning rope so that a greater usable volume is created between the tensioning ropes and the central support mast, which can be used for climbing and play. Advantageously, the rope spreader may be used to vary the degree of spreading and the tension of the tensioning ropes.

  • Publication number: 20110305914
Abstract: Described is a process for preparing an aqueous polymer dispersion from ethylenically unsaturated, free-radically polymerizable monomers. In a first stage, a first polymer is prepared by free-radical emulsion polymerization. In a second stage, an aqueous polymer dispersion is prepared in the presence of the first polymer. The monomers of the first stage comprise monomers with acid groups. The polymerization of the first stage takes place at a low pH of less than 5. The acid groups of the first polymer are neutralized during the polymerization of the second stage to an extent such that the pH of the polymer dispersion at the end of the second stage is greater than 5. The aqueous polymer dispersions can be used as adhesives for producing composite films.
