  • Publication number: 20070017104
Abstract: An outer circumferential portion 24 of a finger support 10 of a first handle portion 6 includes a receptacle portion 25, an inner end 26, and an outer end 27. A joint portion 8 of a first blade 1 is received in the receptacle portion 25. The inner end 26 extends from the receptacle portion 25 over a range in which the finger support 10 of the first handle portion 6 and a finger support 11 of a second handle portion 7 face each other with the first blade 1 and a second blade 2 held in a closed state. The outer end 27 extends from the inner end 26 to the receptacle portion 25. The outer end 27 of the finger support 10 of the first handle portion 6 has an intermediate section 29, a first section 30, and a second section 31. An embedded joint portion 21 is embedded in the finger support 10 of the first handle portion 6 at the joint portion 8 of the first blade 1 and exposed from the intermediate section 29.

  • Publication number: 20050115084
Abstract: An edge 3 extending from a body 2 includes a plurality of recesses 4 and a plurality of projections 5, which are alternately formed in a continuous manner. The edge 3 also includes a plurality of projecting edge sections 6, each of which extends at distal and basal sides with respect to the tip of a corresponding one of the projections 5. Each projecting edge section 6 includes a distal slanted edge section 7 and a basal slanted edge section 8, which are connected to each other at the tip of the corresponding projection 5. The shape of each distal slanted edge section 7 is different from the shape of each basal slanted edge section 8.

  • Patent number: 6412130
Abstract: A multi-tool with a handle formed to have a cross section that is S-shaped so that a foldable tool stored in the handle may be opened and closed independently of other selected operations for the multi-tool. The foldable tool is stored in a first pocket, facing away from an opposing handle, and an adjustment mechanism is stored in a second pocket, facing toward the opposing handle. A leaf spring is cut from an opposing wall of the first pocket, and biased so that the leaf spring moves to a blocking position at least partially within the first pocket when the foldable tool is in an open position. A post is mounted on the foldable tool and is exposed for engagement by a human hand to facilitate deployment of the foldable tool from its closed position to its open position. The S-shaped construction of the handle allows a flange to be incorporated as part of the handle without interfering with the foldability of the foldable tool stored in the first pocket of the handle.

  • Patent number: 6210143
Abstract: An apparatus for producing yarns comprising a first yarn feeding roller, a second yarn feed roller, winders for winding the respective yarns, yarn breakage detectors and detect yarn breakage, and yarn cutting and sucking devices disposed upstream from the yarn feed rollers and operative in response to a yarn breakage detection signal to cut the group of yarns being wound to which the broken yarn belongs. The respective one yarn cutting and sucking device and the respective one winder form winding units, respectively, and at least two such winding units share at least one of the yarn feed rollers. Therefore, it is possible to increase the yield of yarns.

  • Patent number: 5900553
Abstract: A vibration pickup sensor 2, which captures vibration information generated from a winding apparatus, is affixed to a winding apparatus 1. This vibration information is sent to a center station 5 via a LAN 4, and stored therewithin. A host computer 8 outputs a yarn-switching command when the amount of yarn wound on the winding apparatus reaches a prescribed amount. Then, after the winding spindle of the winding apparatus 1 reaches stable rotation after a given amount of time, the center station 5 stores the above-noted vibration information from the vibration pickup sensor 2 into a storage apparatus 6 in a pre-established format. The winding apparatus is configured so as to output this stored information as appropriate to printer 7, display apparatus 10 of the like.
